I was five years old on September 11th, 2001.
Me, my mom and my older sister were visiting my grandma and were supposed to go visit my cousin who worked in the North Tower that day, but the night before my sister got a severe nosebleed so we ended up not going. I remember that morning clearly, it was just after we had breakfast, I was playing with my barbie on my grandma's kitchen and we had turned on the TV only to see the North tower in flames, even though I was little I insistently knew something was wrong my mom and grandma started crying and told me and my sister to go to the next room, my mom spent hours on the phone trying to find out if my cousin was all right in the end we found that a few days before hand him and his family went on a vacation. I remember hearing the sirens passing my grandma's apartment all day and I remember hearing the jets flying over I think what I remember the most though is the day after, We had gone outside and everything was silent and still smokey it was like in one day all of the world's happiness and goodness have been sucked away. I had realized until recently how much 9/11 really effected me mentally, I realize I would freeze and lock up every time I hear a jet, plane and/or sirens because I'm so scared that it's happening all over again. I don't know why but I just wanted to share this story with you guys, so if you stuck around this long, Thank you and I wanted know. Where were you and what's your story of 9/11?
