    It getsa dark early this time of year, at this latitude (42N), if not as early as it does in those parts Europe north of, say, Roma. This is what I see looking out my back window at 'feed the kitty time!", 18:00 pm. Smile, Louie, so I can see where you are!

    Barely out of bed. Not in focus. Sun's shining, and it's 8 F (-14 C) at 08:36 AM. Still, this should be a good day. I help for two hours at the museum, then help this afternoon at the care center.

    12/06/09 ~ Just home from church. It's snowing. I should go to the grocery store, but I can't make myself drive again in the snow, let alone park in a crowded parking lot. Cat was sleeping in the linen cupboard, on top of a flannel sheet, folded, clean, but now covered in his, Louie's, orange hair. Reminds me I should do washing. Need to wash dishes, too. Yuck! That's what happens when a gift of time drops on you: responsibility intrudes!

I don't watch much television.

Books

I like Carlos Fuentes and Naguib Mahfouz books best, but Harry Mulisch writes tremendous books as well.

Movies

I especially like post-war Italian, French auteur, Bollywood, and some German films, but any film with good production values, a good storyline, and good actors rates with me. American action films are tops.
