I did my hairs all up because I went and saw Wicked tonight!

It's been five years since I saw it on Broadway, and the touring cast we saw tonight was INCREDIBLE! Elphaba, Glinda and Fiyero were all outstanding! The Wizard, Boq, Nessarose and Madame Morrible were awesome too! I'd forgotten how GOOD that show is!

Aw, I miss Broadway.

I won't lie, I have nothing really to say... But I did consider making it a 'thing' where I try and copy the pose you've done on your picture. Ultimately, I decided against it.

I haven't seen Wicked. I think I'd like to, but knowing the basics of the story, I think I'd rather see it as a film (non-musical).

@MartinKSmith - Thank you for deciding against that.
The thing about Wicked is that the music sort of makes it. I mean, it's a great story, but would have a whole hell of a lot less impact if you took the music away. Plus, there's so much fantasy about it anyway, it could never be a realistic film. I mean...she's green. :]

@underthefairytales Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm just a big fan of taking a fantasy story and adding some reality to it. Grittiness, etc.

@MartinKSmith - I didn't say there wasn't grittiness to it. Wicked may seem bubbly at first, but there's a lot of very grim aspects of it. I mean, not as much as there are in the book, which I thought was a bit over the top to be honest, but still.
I'm mostly saying that if you tried to make Wicked into a non-musical movie, it would probably fail epically. It would seem LESS realistic than the musical. There's also something about the stage which is just perfect for the story.

@underthefairytales Having not read the book, or seen the musical, I can't really be all "No, you're wrong!" -- My wanting a non-musical version, isn't only about Wicked though. I like the whole 'real' fairytale thing.

Did you ever see The 10th Kingdom? I thought that was a cool concept.
