    my bed has become a pile of pillows and duvet with no sheets or cover, and it's ridiculously comfy. I'm not moving again, ever.

    I have an @mynameiscaitlin! we have had a good night that involved eating profiteroles whole, scary drunken kilted scottish men, some french, an awful lot of eighties music, a man by the name of ruth, and some questionable rapping.

    it's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww good.

    you can have these photos from earlier that include stupid webcam effects, because right now Caitlin is just.. asleep. in my bed. okay then. yep.

    there are two big green logos floating in the sky opposite my bedroom window, and today is the first time that I've stopped and thought "hey, wait, this is real life, that shouldn't happen - oh, right, they're lit-up signs."
    I feel like I should be concerned about this.

    so I'm pretty sure that I'm the only member of my tutor group that my personal tutor remembers.

    and the only thing he remembers about me is "this girl doesn't have friends".
    I am not even kidding, today's tutorial was like, "so your exam results were good, you should obviously be aiming for a first, do you still not have any friends, by the way?"

    still, y'know - last year he only remembered me because he hated me, so, it's an improvement, I think.

    you would think that after 800 pictures, I would've given up on trying to look like a human being.

    you would be wrong.

    I got exam results today! 66, 67, and 73. I'm happy with this, but also pretty convinced that that point I'm waiting for (the one where the universe goes "hey, dani, you know how you don't do any work, like, ever? yeah, that's coming back to bite you in the arse now") just isn't going to happen.

    mainly because I'm actually doing the whole going to lectures and reading things THING now. Heck, I might even start revising for the next set of exams more than a week before they start! bizarre.

    tomorrow I have a personal tutorial. given that the last time I saw my personal tutor, I spent about twenty minutes crying in his office, it seems safe to assume that I'm really not looking forward to this! wheeeeeeeee.

    weeeeeeeelll hello there.

    things I have learned today:

    1. to get people to be your friend, threaten them with a hammer. (https://twitter.com/EKyARD/status/166571782277566464)
    2. my academic tutor is burt hummel, and he (presumably) thinks we all matter. even if he doesn't actually know any of our names.
    3. there is a girl who was two years above me in school, and she is determined to work in every place where I have ever shopped for food. (I'm guessing, from the amused look she gave me today, that she thinks that I'm determined to buy food from everywhere she's ever worked).
    4. listening to the warblers makes me forget how to walk like a normal person, and instead start bouncing.
    5. bouncing down the road means that people laugh as they walk past you. (I'm okay with this).
    6. no-one would notice a difference if my cognitive psychology lecturer turned up drunk.
    7. Bill Macken's lectures are a lot less fun when there is no-one to smirk at my inattentive self-distraction (I am still sad about death, okay).
    8. I have literally no self control, and/or I believe that "I will not eat all of these mini eggs" and "I will leave exactly one mini egg in the packet" are functionally the same thing.
    9. seriously though, TO GET PEOPLE TO BE YOUR FRIEND, THREATEN THEM WITH A HAMMER. this guy is my favourite.

    I feel like a zombie. Last night my housemates woke me up by destroying our living room at 3:30, and I ended up sitting downstairs laughing at them for about an hour and a half..

    ..and apparently at some point during that time, I agreed to go for pancakes with them in the morning, so they woke me up at 9:50. not good. not good at all.

    I spent much of this evening watching @mayo_on_toast and @hazelaine feed their boyfriends dessert, and @mynameiscaitlin wasn't even there to save me from my fifth-wheel-y fate, so I've concluded that the good doctor here is my only true friend.

    I've already drunk most of him, so, it is a miserable and lonely existence I lead.
