A shield maiden, thrown together for my portfolio.

Sorry I've been MIA the past few days. The new semester just started, so I've been scrambling to accomidate classes and ending up exhausted by the time I'm home. Dentist appointment in the morning tomorrow and class at night, fun fun.

Anyone taking classes this semester? How is your schedule looking?

    (I don't mean to be too sarcastic... apologies if you're taking this the wrong way).


    I am taking classes this semester. and it is simply a debate on whether I take an extra class or not. 3 CS classes (and two others) vs 2 CS classes and 2 others.

    @pure_kitsch Sarcasm is definitely allowed! Shield maidens weren't called such for their shields, strangely enough. They were fierce women warriors from Norse mythology. Eowyn from Lord of the Rings is considered a shield maiden.

    As for extra classes, the faster you finish classes, the faster you're out of there! That was my philosophy. Get in, get out, get going.

    (I'm making stuff up. I have no idea. she just looks awesome).

    That's true. the faster I finish... but I think I'll finish in either 3.5 or 4 years... I wonder if this extra one will make a difference. i guess I should figure that out. anyhow. yup yup. did your philosophy work out? has the plan almost come to fruition or has the fruit already been harvested?

    @pure_kitsch- thanks for the compliment ;) She needs a name though. Sandriel, maybe?

    My philosophy is a work in progress. Nearly to fruition, however. Finishing my last semester before my associates now, and I have another year for my BFA. Slowly but surely. You just have to keep with it. You get 2 or 3 years in and you start second guessing yourself, but you just keep your eyes on the prize (to be horribly cliched.. ><).

    sounds good. cliches are usually cliche because they are right. even if some people overuse them.
