so my family just got this new, something like 24 x 17 inch Dell computer, no tower, no wires, just a power cord, a mouse, a keyboard, and an ENORMOUS 2inch thick monitor, probably bigger than our freakin' TV at the shore . . .
Well Dailybooth, it's been a long time. How've you been?
To be completely and 100% and absolutely honest, I don't think I'll be posting much anymore. Over Spring term, I sort of ran out of time to take pictures, and what you see here is one of the first in months. Now I can't get back into the habit, and I don't really see the point in staying with Dailybooth . . . I've been here for, what, 2 years? and it's been interesting, but I think I'll be on the down low from now on.
Incidentally, congratulations on your newly obtained Summer. I actually hope you have the best time ever!
you know what's strange though? I'm on Spring break, in the middle of March, and I'm more stressed than I've been all year.
I don't have time for anything anymore; there's just so much to be done, so much to plan. Colleges to visit. Essays to write. Exams to study for. Sports to train for. A driver's license to acquire. People to contact. Fucking, trains to catch.
for me, january is just cold and miserable. christmas is over, has been over for weeks now, yet I still have a tree up in my room.
and school? well, school is difficult because my mindset doesn't allow me to try for anything less than the best. it sounds so absurdly phony, but that's honestly what I feel like all the time.
and because of it I don't really have much time for Dailybooth anymore.
> for Christmas, received Macbook Pro, which I have wanted for years now, an amazing new acoustic-electric guitar, and . . . Pokemon Soul Silver, among other things.
I could be in fucking space right now but I'm not.
School's out, forever, or something.
Tomorrow is a just a party day, until 11:30, and then I'm done.
And tonight was fun too; I laughed more than I have in months. I was happy.
I haven't actually gotten an A+ on this assignment, yet. This picture is actually for an [intermediate] photography (w00t w00t) project, in which I will attempt to both document and describe, in my case, the concept of a deadline. To be honest, I really just drew the "A+" on with a red sharpie, in an attempt to capture the result of the grueling work leading up to the aforementioned deadline.
I know most of my pictures have been in this form, and I do try to vary them most of the time, I really do. So I'll try harder over Christmas break, when I may finally acquire the holy grail that an Apple computer has become.
And. Also.
Days until break itself? 3 1/2
Major assignments and/or tests due this week? 5
So, there's this party that my old friend Phil invited me to a day or so ago. It's kind of like a reunion, of all the kids from my middle school, which was a quaint little Catholic institution, if you can imagine it. In any case, I haven't seen most of the kids that I went to school with for a great many years in a long time.
What's weird is that I'm nervous about seeing them all again. I'm excited and scared and anxious and I know for a fact that I'm getting way too preoccupied with an event that probably won't be half as amazing as what I'm imagining it to be.
