In Japan all the kids and teachers eat the same lunch at their desks. Students serve the food to their classmates and homeroom teacher, and then clean up when lunchtime is over.
It kind of sucks because it usually doesn't taste very good but there's no choice of eating something else or bringing your own lunch. Today's is mabo doufu (mapo tofu) with potstickers, rice, and sauted beansprouts and cabbage.
