This was my hero ; Guybrush Threepwood.
Yes, I know he's not actually real but he was a source of entertainment for me and made me want to be a pirate. Yes, I was about 8 at the time but I still loved this character to death. He was a total inspiration because he was such a total dork but still managed to save the Caribbean time and time again so as a kid I thought, "maybe it's not so bad being the loser because they can still kick ass."
I've basically followed him all my life and have played the games to death since that very first time in 2002. I know all the lines, I know how to finish the games without any hesitation anymore.
When earlier this year it was announced that the long awaited Monkey Island 5 was being released after I"d given up on it, I was incredibly excited. Ecstatic, even.
It's been released in chapters, once a month. There's supposed to be five and this is number four.
The newest one was called "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood."
I laughed to myself and thought, "how will that swashbuckler get out of this one?"
Well, friends, he didn't. Holy monkey bladders.
The mightiest pirate of all time is dead. I'm really hoping they use some sort of voodoo and bring him back. They have to.
I'm kind of distraught about it and have been resisting the urge to bawl my eyes out for the last few hours. I realise how sad this sounds.

When Im really upset or angry, my inner OCD kicks in.
I decided it was an appropriate time to rearrange my drawers since the old way wasn't working too well for me.
So, as you can see, the shirts are stacked horizontally rather than vertically. And they're in colour order.
I also cleaned out my cupboard and my desk drawers.
I just have one thing to say.
I really dislike people who lie. What I dislike more are people who are stupid enough to get caught.
If you know me, you know that I'm usually 100% honest. The only people that I can stand to lie to re my parents, and often for good reason.
If you're going to lie, do it right. If you're going to make up excuses for your shit, then at least follow through.
in other news, just finished south of nowhere. I watched the whole series over the weekend and I loved it. I have to say, it's the only series that I was happy with the finale.

i was going to go on a huge rant about Wuthering Heights since I just watched the two part series that peeps in the UK or something did this year. I actually wrote the rant and a put together collection of quotes but I decided not to post it today because it just went on too long.

I still havent finished Dorian Grey, Frankenstein, The Illiad and all the friggin 10 + True Blood books my mum unloaded onto me.
i saw heaps of other books I want too. Does anyone want to buy me Of Mice and Men?
