Things-I-brought-back-from-Canada Week: Day 7. Maps!
Maps of British Columbia, Alberta and around - for next time I'm visiting! Nothing is easier than walking around with your search-maps-compass-iPhone-App and walk straight to where you wanna go, but, there just isn't WIFI everywhere. Regular paper maps are the next best thing. And, they always helped me on not getting (totally) lost in a city. :)
This picture concludes this weeks Canada series, hope you enjoyed, eh!
Things-I-brought-back-from-Canada Week: Day 6. Gold Rush books!
After visiting Barkerville I was part of the Gold Rush.. sortoff.. not very. But, it really got my interest. Goooooold!!
(phew.. last day of this 7-day series tomorrow.. :) )
Things-I-brought-back-from-Canada Week: Day 5. Whistler Blackcomb t-shirt.
Such a cool place this was to visit and there will be a lot of Olympic things going on here next year. There wasn't any snow while I was there of course, but the mountains, village and just about anything else was very very nice. One day, I'll be back here to ride the slopes! ^^
(..had to use CamTwist to flip the image.. Anybody else experiencing problems with automatic Left/Right mirroring?)
Things-I-brought-back-from-Canada Week: Day 4. The Thunderbird and Killerwhale.
I'll need to find a frame for this small-though-not-that-small print (by Joe Wilson, islandart.com). I would have liked one of the bigger posters with something like this, but I doubt it would have survived the flight home.. I'm a bit tired today.. so no extra facts on this 'souvenir'. Just nice art. An image says more than a tweet.
Things-I-brought-back-from-Canada Week: Day 3. Vancouver/Whistler Olympics 2010 merchandise.
I would have loved to bring a giant Mukmuk, Sumi, Quatchi and Miga with me back to NL.. but, well, I think I would have needed an extra backpack for them. This Olympics' mascotes are soooo cool! :)
