Finally had the chance to do some back-reading. I'm shocked by all that you and the Empress have been faced with recently. I'm hoping for a full recovery for Lynn. On a positive note, I remember celebrating with my aunt last summer when her port was surgically removed. I hope that your wife can soon experience the unique thrill of that tangible indication that chemo and cancer have become a thing of the past. Blessings, Joel!
@fanchy@andy4c It was so much fun! Exhausting as well, because even though we had tons of staff coverage, whenever you take kids (especially vulnerable ones) out into a crowded venue, you have to have your mind 100% on, all the time! Just being that hyperaware and hyper-vigilant for a few hours is draining. It was soooo worth it though because the students has a blast :) :)
@fanchy I didn't realize until later that the tv station doesn't broadcast the anthem :( I know the school board's press office was filming, though, so if I ever spot the video published anywhere...
I'm off to sign the national anthem with my students at a Blue Jays game! If you catch the game tonight (Jays vs the Texas Rangers), I'll be front and centre. :)
@Fanchy I gather you finally got a diagnosis for all that pain. I remember when you and your doctor(s) were trying to figure it out. Have you found an effective treatment?
Note to self: Watch the Hunger Games.
Hi Michael! How are you? You look different, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is... Hope things have picked up since the last time we talked (which is way too long ago, btw. just sayin') HUGS
