I thought I would use my daily booth to share some tried and tested recipes.
Soft Chocolate Chip cookies
8 oz light brown muscovado sugar
8 oz self raising flour
4 oz butter (or margarine)
1 egg
1/2 large bar cooking chocolate chopped into chunks ( or one packet of chocolate chip chunks)
method
With a beater cream butter, egg and sugar together
Mix in the flour.
Stir through the chunks
scoop out a teaspoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Space these out on a tray.
cook in oven heated to 250f / 180c gas 4 for about 12-14 mins
leave to set for about 2 mins then take off tray and put on a plate.
If you like you can do what my sons do and put the whole dough on a pizza tray and roll it out and cook 1 huge cookie. This takes about 5 mins more to cook.
you can keep the dough in the fridge so I find it easier to make double quantities then you can have fresh cookies in about 12 mins anytime of the day ( or night)
