Working on my first drawing for the sketchbook project this year! I've been trying to finish it today but there is something wrong with me and I cannot seem to focus on anything and I require frequent naps.
I am working on a thing. Have transitioned into the 'this is horrible and I don't know what I'm doing' phase of the creative process, but it's okay because I have not painted in months and I'm happy just to be doing this. Though, there is added pressure to get it right since it's a commission. The people are really excited about it and I must give them something to warrant that excitement.
Also, sometimes dailybooth publishes pictures that I discarded instead of the most recent one and that is annoying.
Today I am dropping off my final assignment for university, so I am officially done my first year as of today. I am also having an interview for a paid internship at my university art gallery and that is somewhat intimidating.
These interview-appropriate clothes are nothing like what I normally wear to university and I feel self conscious <_<
Just after I took this I heard something that sounded like a person jumping over our back fence (which has actually happened before), so was a bit worried and went to see what it was and it was the neighbors dog which had somehow gotten into our yard and that is my story for this evening. The dog was very nice.
Hard ground etching in progress. I've scratched into the ground so now I just have to put this plate in some acid for a while so it can eat the metal and then I can make prints forever.
Pelvis area looks a bit weird in this picture but it's not. Okay.
HERE IS SOME ART I DID IN PRINTMAKING CLASS.
Hard ground etching. It had to be a text based piece so this happened. I am very strong now from inking my plate many times oh yes. Inking plates is serious business I tell you.
I'd like to try some more hard ground etching, just for fun. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
