I had planned to post a little explanation about what NKO actually is, but then I forgot. I'm posting it now instead, but with very little time before I go out, so the explanations must wait a while.
(Not that anyone's really expressed an interest in learning more about NKO, so I doubt the wait will be much of an inconvenience.)
I've done precisely nothing today (apart from taking this photograph: http://365project.org/manek43509/365/2011-05-25) and as such, I am left with that awful feeling of emptiness and unfulfillment that always follows an unproductive day.
Well, OK - not quite. But I am back in the In Harmony groove, which was strangely satisfying. It's a full-on rush now to prepare all the children for their big concerts at St Andrew's Hall (a big concert hall in Norwich) in February, but I'm confident we'll get there. (Somehow!!)
I also started some new teaching work this morning; all of this term, I shall be filling in for another percussion in Norwich while he's away in Ghana. The work involves running African Drumming Workshops in two different schools in North Norfolk, and I had the first of those workshop sessions today. I'm pleased to say, the first workshops went down very well, and I'm rather looking forward to doing the rest of the weeks I have there, now.
Have you started anything new this year? Or got back into the swing of anything, after a short time away?
Here is a picture of my feet - or, more precisely, of my socks.
When I first met @tamago_thompson, she seemed quite shocked that I only ever wore black or dark grey socks. Apparently, this is considered dull. I'd never given it much thought, myself, but these lovely colourful socks were a slightly jokey Christmas present on that theme.
Did you give and/or receive any "light-hearted" Christmas presents this year?
