Hey! Stuff happened today, and so on...

How about you?

The main point of this "Booth" is just to promote my latest Blog post... It's all about bad television, and how an abundance of new trashy TV channels - the televisual equivalent of the tabloid press, and those repulsive "real life!" magazines - is spoiling the art of making good television programmes...

The tone of the post is supposed to be a humourous one - but I hope that, underneath all that, you can see the serious point I'm trying to make!

Not a good picture... But still, better than the last one!

I'm watching the Belgian Grand Prix... I know it was on earlier, but I missed that, as I had to set up for rehearsals... So, I was hoping that the television at home would record it - but it didn't... Then, I was hoping I'd be able to download it from the BBC iPlayer site, but it wasn't available to download, so I couldn't... So, now, I'm streaming it from the iPlayer site, which isn't the best, but is better than nothing! So, if you watched it earlier, don't tell me what happens!

Great to see everyone congratulating Rubens on his 300th Grand Prix - it's an incredible achievement... He's been my favourite driver for years, so it's lovely to see that!

So, what are you doing at the moment? Are you a Formula 1 fan? If so, who's your favourite driver/team?

Anyway, the story is this... I played at a festival this evening, with Axel - not Reading or Leeds, some random thing in Suffolk! - and then, after that, we went back to a friend's apartment for an "after party" in a hot-tub... I know it sounds pretty rock'n'roll, but it was actually fairly average...! haha

So, yeah, this photo is of me, quite drunk (read: very drunk!) and just got out of the hot-tub... :)

This is not an old picture - this is a picture FROM TODAY! Yeah, you're impressed, aren't you...? :P

So, today, I went to Felixstowe for most of the day... My brother lives there, and we went out for lunch, and things like that...

I must admit that this picture was taken in the bathroom at the restaurant... Normally, I cannot stand the idea of "toilet photos" - people who take pictures of themselves in their bathroom - and tend completely to eschew them myself... However, in this restaurant, the toilets were really quite spectacular! Very futuristic, with walls of light panels which changed colour constantly, which was really cool (you can see part of that wall behind me) and since it doesn't actually show anything which might pertain to a toilet cubicle, I think it is acceptable...

What have you been busying yourself with today?

Have you ever taken a picture in a toilet, or of a toilet, or using a toilet as a tripod, or using a camera shaped like a toilet...?

Reasons why you get another old picture today -

1 - my hair got destroyed by the rain while loading in/loading out of tonight's rehearsal
2 - it's really dark in here, now, so my webcam wouldn't take a decent shot anyway
3 - I'm hungry
4 - there is no fourth reason
5 - it's a bit late to be taking photo now
6 - this picture may be old, but it's actually not that bad

Is that enough excuses, errm, reasons? Look, I'm sorry, OK! But it's just got to be an old picture, or nothing, today... (Don't tell me you'd rather have nothing, now - that's just not nice!)

So, now that's got all that out of the way... I have been very busy all day, today - been doing quite a bit of practice, on drums and on piano... And then I've had rehearsals all evening...

What have you been doing today?

And does your job require much preparation at home, or in your own time? Or do you just turn up and do your work, and then not give your job a thought as soon as you leave again?

If it comes to that, what job do you do? Can't believe I haven't actually asked you guys that, yet...!!

This is a couple of days old, now... In fact, it was taken on Sunday, I think...

I went to the beach with my Dad, and with Blue The Dog, on Sunday, and he took this picture of me on the beach... I don't look particularly beach-like, and I know my hair is quite weird, but it was pretty windy on the coast!

I've already asked people a bunch of questions about beaches, I know, only a few "Booths" ago... So, I shan't do all that again! (I imagine you're quite relieved...!)

So, today is GCSE Results Day... Very strange - Results Day is traditionally a Thursday... However, best of luck, all the same, to anyone collecting results today - hope you've all got the grades you were hoping/praying/wishing for! :)

GCSEs seem ages ago, now, for me - although it was only a few years back, actually... I got a fairly average set of results - or so I thought, at the time! When the A-Level results came out last week, there seemed to be quite a few people absolutely over the moon about results which really weren't that great - Facebook status updates reading "yeah, I got two D's and a U, did even better than I thought!" And I'm thinking, "so, you're actually pleased with those results?!" It seemed rather to go against the media's standard "they're all getting easier!" line... I wonder if a similar phenomenon will occur with the GCSE results...

So, yeah - sorry to have gone all serious there, for a moment...! To lighten the mood, I shall as you this... If you could be one button on a TV remote control, which one would you be?

Hello, everyone... :)

I'm tidying my room today... I hate when things are untidy - but unfortunately, I'm also very lazy, so things do tend to get untidy, from time to time!

So, would you say you were a naturally tidy person, or is it something you have to work at? Or do you just not care, and are quite happy to live in an untidy room/house/stable/apartment/tent/whatever...

Also, today, I went to the beach, with my dad, and my dog... We also went to a garden centre, and we went to a pub and ate chips... I took a lot of photos on the beach, and that was nice...

Overall, not a bad day! :)

(OK, it didn't - but I did it anyway!)

This is Kate, my sister, by the way... She doesn't have DailyBooth - it's because she's just not that cool... (She's standing here disagreeing as I type this, but we all know that's true, don't we?)

Anyway, I'm in Norwich... Where are you?

I have brought the internet outside, with me, and I have set it down upon a spindly wooden table, in the middle of a stone-paved glade, surrounded by woodland creatures, calm pools of standing water, myriad plants - vines, flowers, bushes, herbs, trees and ferns...

Basically, I'm sitting in the garden... There is a fence behind me - and a tree...
