I've been ever so busy what with my beautiful and rather incredible girlfriend moving in with me.
That's got nothing to do with this picture though. Basically, I can solve 3x3x3 Rubik's Cubes, I am in no means super quick at it, as I only learned how to about 2 months ago or so. Recently I went to my grans, who has a whole bunch of cubes, and she also had this octagonal prism, or 'barrel-shaped' puzzle. It solves almost exactly like a regular cube, except as the corners are shaved off, and entirely new colours, you can't tell where they are meant to go.
I've managed to almost solve the entire thing without use of the internet or other instruction, except for these last two corners which need swapping! This can't happen on a regular cube. It's infuriating me a bit.
I'm sure I'll get it eventually.
This has been a story.
Went to Mudeford today, I woke up to the sound of pouring rain (which isn't unusual as I fall asleep to www.rainymood.com most nights nowadays). Except this rain was outside. Bugger.
We drove to Mudeford anyway, it's a small coastal village in southern England. Even though it had stopped raining by the time we left, and it's in the midst of summer, I decided to bring this hat along as I knew it would be windy.
I certainly looked a bit out of place sitting on the promenade on what turned out to be a really beautiful day, in this hat.
