    FINALLY. No school.

I can't believe how soon everything is.

In five months, I will be married, have graduated from college, and become an aunt.

Oh wait, I've got five months left to plan this thing? @_@ Crap, I need to get crackin'.

Bob got to stay home from work this morning because it was raining :D (He's a surveyor - can't shoot points in the rain :D). So now, I'm watching him play the new GT:5 demo, and considering my breakfast options.

Have a new obsession too: Jackie Greene. oh. my. goodness. What a singer/guitar player. He makes me happy in my guts.

    Ahh... stream of consciousness...

    I'm going to find food.

    MOVIN'!

    Marijuana: Friend or Foe?

So, my final in public speaking has changed.

I'm doing a persuasive speech, and it was originally intended to be pro-public healthcare... except, everyone in my class save two agreed with me. It was thought I wouldn't make an impact this way - SO!

The new speech: Legalization of Marijuana, for use in medicine, as well as privately and personally.

What are your thoughts? Good, bad, ugly - I need some concerns!

Where do you stand? Extra credit points for legitimate discussion :) I'll give you an e-cookie!

:) I'm in an awesome hotel in Asheville NC, after having a dinner and a couple of beers with Bob's parents at a great restaurant in downtown, excited for tomorrow - because it's CHRISTMAS JAM!!

Warren Haynes xmas Jam - featuring The Counting Crows, Ani DeFranco, moe, Warren Haynes, and many others!!

    I can't WAIT!

And if you get a chance, Asheville's a really banging town. Very artistic. Heavy music influence. I looooove it! Can't wait to walk around tomorrow.

Now, it's shreeepy cuddle with Bob time. <3

Today, I am cynical. I don't like being this way, but it happens. I -miss- my finace. I work so much, and spend so much time at school - that some times we only see eachother in passing. He works 8-4, I work 3:30-10:30, and we both have to sleep for school or work the next day. I hate it.

:( Also, I want to leave the town I'm in and move to Chattanooga - or Knoxville - but to do that, you need money.

    siiighh...

Happy Early Turkey Day! :D I'm bad about updating my booth, and as the semester comes to a close, I will have less and less time to do so... So you have a happy holiday, you hear? :)

    Say cheese!

My mom found this camera at a yard sale for ten bucks. It's a Canon EOS K2 Rebel with a 28-90mm lens. It's a 35mm camera, BUT - I work in a photo lab... I get free film.

    I'm happy about this :D

BTW - is anyone else insanely excited about the Leonid Meteor Shower? 500+ meteorites at it's peak. That amazing. I'm going somewhere dark. with a tripod and my camera, and taking some long exposure shots of the sky. I can't wait!!

My 100th post! I've thought for a while how to do this... but I will simply dedicate it to Mr. Sagan, and all the vastly important things he has contributed to the scientific community.

If you ever did one thing on a whim, watch this video. It's Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" - and it changed my life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p86BPM1GV8M

    Transcript below:

"We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity -- in all this vastness -- there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

We went out for drinks last night for Cody's birthday. Ended up at some bar called 'The Hair of the Dog'. It was nice, good beer list. Enjoyed a Fat Tire, Sweetwater 420, and a good old, tried and true, Miller Highlife.

Mmm. :) That's my treat to me for being such a good girl this year!

And this, is my bed head.
