Over-edited photo cause I don't really like it, but don't feel like taking another...

Anyway, I start my junior year of college next Monday, mixed feelings about that as always. Nervous about classes but I always enjoy seeing friends and being around people. My summers are usually pretty dull so I use college as my "social hub." ha I'm a bit more concerned about this year though cause I'll probably have few if any classes with people I know. Plus a friend I met and became extremely close to last semester is transfering and moving away. :(

It's also really funny in a way, cause before I left dailybooth last fall I had signed up for education classes but couldn't get into them due to my ACT math score. And in a way I'm still in that same boat because this semester I signed up for those exact classes only this time I can't get kicked out of them since I finally met all the requirements! Hurrah!

I'm soooo glad I passed, now hopefully I can make up for lost time although it still set me a bit behind. But I'm still more comfortable in art classes than education. They're a lot more work and include field requirements. Plus tuition went up this semester meaning it's getting harder to met the costs and I'm certainly feeling the strains of that.

Anyway anyway, tomorrow I go volunteer at the local museum, something I've been doing throughout the summer anytime they need extra help. That's always a blast. Really great vibes there. And my niece is staying with me this weekend, meaning quality bonding/silly time. =P

Hi! Just got back from my niece's volleyball game, they won! Yay! And I'm not usually one to go to sporting events, but gotta support my fam.

Also, I've become addicted to Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza on GSN. Not a big Drew Carey fan, but I love Whose Line Is It Anyway? and now it's like it's back on! And I'm totally in love with Jeff Davis.

What's your favorite game they play? I love sound effects, forwards and reverse, and scenes from a hat.

Hello, it's Sunday once again, which means another episode of Elvira's Movie Macabre tonight! Last week she showed my favorite film flop of all time Manos: The Hands of Fate! A laugh out loud hilarious film atrocity from 1966. Anyone else seen this film? I totally want to be Master for Halloween this year. hahaha

Who else watched the premiere of Whisker Wars on IFC last night? I think that's going to be quite an interesting show. ha

Speaking of facial hair, I also cross-stitched this moustache the other day! What do you think?

Finally finished my giant corkboard of awesome. Filled with pictures of my favorite things- Wes Anderson films, favorite actors, the beatles, etc. I love making collages and things, I find it really relaxing. And yes I do believe corkboading is an art form. =P

Hello! Project Runway tonight! I'm excited. I'm also sure Hedi would not approve of my obsession with floral tourist shirts! =P Any PR fans out there? It's still too early for me to pick a favorite, have you got one?

Also I'm really into Soundtracks lately. Currently listening to There Will Be Blood. Favorites include Rushmore, Garden State, High Fidelity, Pretty in Pink and Marie Antionette among many others. Which films do you think have the best soundtracks? I think Wes Anderson films win hands down.

    Hi! How goes it?

Lately I'm really in the mood of cross-stitching, and I've found some of the coolest patterns ever. Including this awesome Mario one I've started, there's a lot more to it kinda like the history of Mario.

I even hooked up my old Nintendo NES today and have been playing all the classics. Super Mario Bros., Zelda, Duck Hunt, Tetris, Willow, Roadblasters, etc. Does anyone else still own these games?

Speaking of my childhood, who else has been watching The 90s Are All That on Nickelodeon? I LOVE the fact they're showing all my favorite cartoons and shows from when I was growing up, about time! I've even been listening to 90s music all week. Total 90s fest at my house!! ha

Hello! Since I am @lifeisamusical I thought it would be a fun idea to review an album. So I’ve chosen my favorite album of 2011 thus far: Yuck by Yuck.

This fuzzy guitar rock foursome hailing from the UK has proven to be a band on the rise, and one to watch. After hearing about the band from a friend (with impeccable taste in music) and watching the video for “Get Away” I was hooked. It was love at first listen. Yuck has both revived the nineties sound and managed to keep it fresh. Frontman Daniel Blumberg, tall, lanky, and a mere twenty years old; along with his band of misfit geniuses has produced twelve hard-hitting tracks of pure enjoyment. Blumberg croons “You could be my destiny; you could mean that much to me” over fussy guitars on the third track “Shook Down” providing the perfect marriage of hard and soft. Track seven entitled “Suck” does anything but. “Operation” is simply everything a good song should be. The closing track “Rubber,” a shoegaze epic, could just as easily belong on indie gems Psychocandy or Loveless.

Yuck have proven they don’t live up to their name, they far exceed it. Irony isn’t the only thing Blumberg and company is good at. If you don’t own this album buy it, you won’t regret it.

What’s your favorite album of 2011? What are you currently listening to?

    Hello hello!

Watching Elvia's Movie Macabre, I do every Sunday. I have a nack for bad movies, especially cheesy horror flicks. I actually get a kick out of searching for the worst films ever made and gluing myself to the screen watching every horrible second of them. ha

Anyone else do this? Any fans of Movie Macabre or MST3K on dailybooth?

Also, I need new followers and suggestions of who I should follow! I've been away so long it seems everyone I was following has since given up boothing.
