    we had to do a self portrait as a religion icon in class today.
    It looks a little warped, and I'm also atrocious at self portraits but my teacher showed the entire class so I guess it was okay.
    I used gold and silver paint for the hair and halo to be similar to traditional byzantine icon paintings.

    We learned how to do gold leaf but it's really hard and real gold leaf can be upwards to 70 to 300 dollars.

    got done with a photoshoot this morning.
    it was sort of like 3 different shoots at once though.
    3 different looks each with their own style of lighting.
    now I'm just hanging out till my later plans with friends.

    I'm in the midst of working on a Monroe inspired piece, and a few weeks ago I saw My Week with Marilyn, and then I just saw the pilot episode of Smash.
    So this only seemed appropriate.
