i miss being a little kid:
when you got hyper, not high.
when the only thing you drank was juicy juice.
when the only party you went to included a bounce house.
when the word 'bill' was just some old guy's name.
when you got put in time out, not put in jail.
when the letters D-U-I were just part of the alphabet.
when the worst offense was stealing a cookie, not stealing a car.
when halloween meant trick-or-treating, not skimpy outfits.
when a car crash was only something you saw in a movie.
when death didn't seem possible, because the heroes in the movies always survived.
when disney always had a prince charming, and heartbreak didn't exist.
when having imaginary friends wasn't being schizophrenic.
when doodling in class was actually encouraged.
when 'playing mind games' meant you were psychic.
when magic meant harry potter, not wiccans.
"when the worst they could do to you, was check your attitude."
when there was best friends forever necklaces instead of engagement rings.

i miss the simplicity of it all.
