have you ever thought about how ridiculously unfair life can be sometimes?
and no i don’t mean, oh my gosh i can’t go and see justin bieber in concert, my stupid parents didn’t buy me an iphone, type of unfair. i mean the fact that millions of people across the world are starving, and tonight little children will go without food. it’s unfair how there are so many disasters that happen to the best of people. it’s unfair how right now people are dying because they can’t afford the basic necessities in life, whereas so many people have so much, which we all take for granted. it’s so bad that i feel awful because of how much i have compared to those who have so little. and the worst thing? that they are all so happy. we all see videos and pictures of people in countries where they have so little hope, and yet you never see them looking sad, they always have a great big smile plastered across their face, and this is because they all appreciate the little that they do have, and they make the most of it. and here, where we have so much, there is so much unhappiness and people are greedy and always want more. i know i can’t change the poverty in this world, but i just want to help make a difference, because this world can be so unfair.
american history appears to be taking over my afternoon - wonderful.
it's a good thing history is my favourite subject otherwise i'd probably shoot myself.
