Movember Day30!

So that's it then. Time to shave. It was fun/embarrassing to grow a mustache and then walk around in public. One thing it did do was keep my mind on the issue. I was reminded of prostate cancer awareness every time I looked in the mirror, every time my moustache got in the way of a soup spoon, every time I saw another fellow mo-bro on the street. I also realized that I could have taken much better advantage of my situation and solicited many more donations if I had thought about the progression of the 'stache and blogged/tweeted about it more regularly. I will be doing this again next year, to the chagrin of my loving partner. ;-{)

Movember Day26!

I haven't seen this many moustaches in Toronto since the 70s. And I wasn't in Toronto in the 70s. I still don't quite get moustaches. I know they are traditionally used to let people know that you are a cop/pervert/tough-guy/gay lead-singer/cowboy/private detective/comedian/dictator/ladies-man/trucker/evil-twin/other. It's all so contradictory.

For a minute this morning I thought I looked like Jeff Foxworthy. When he was eleven. This moustache just isn't filling out the way I had envisioned.

Movember Day15!

I finally accepted the inevitable and shaved the scruff. It's now a lot more obvious that I'm moustache bound. My son spontaneously started singing "We Are The Champions". I don't think I come close to a Freddy Mercury calibre 'stache yet. The next few weeks will be good for conversation.
