We spent one week on a houseboat on Lake Powell with our friend Bruce and his girlfriend Cathy, then another week just driving and hiking around America's southwest. A really superb vacation.

This is the the window display of a very weird, little shop on East Front Street, the main road in the economically suffering town of Hancock, New York. In fact, it's been the window display there since about 1999...

I've been worried that the last few weeks of the year would swirl down the drain, and I would not have created the little video that's been in my camera and in my mind since March.

This charmer is actually a painting done by someone who also went to my alma mater, The Cooper Union School of Art. (I discovered this fact only by looking at his website.)
