i am from los angleles and i got accepted to UC Berkeley and im not sure whether i still want to attend that school.
should i still go up to uc berkeley becuase i want to pursue film production and cinematic arts but i plan on transfer down in 2yrs to usc or ucla because they have the best film program. so should i just attend santa monica community college http://www.smc.edu/homex.asp?q=homepage since it stated that its the #1 transfers to ucla?
if i do go to community college:
- i can still continue sports
- ill be near home
- it is cheaper, and i wont have loans to pay back after i graduate
- i would not waste 2yrs worth of money at a uc, and it would give me more time to deciede if i really want to do film.
but i do want go to uc berkeley because:
- the college experience (clubs, rallys, events, speakers, etc)
- the college life
- dorming experience
- and if i change my mind about my major, i am still a berkeley andt here wont be a need to ever do the work to transfer
- and its a prestigious school that is hard to get in to and i was able to get in it, and would be crazy to just throw that away
- and i also paid/ took those SATs ACTs AP classes and planned my entire highs chool year on attending a UC
so what should i do? uc berkeley or santa monica community college?
how would it be worth it to do either/or? wat are the benefits of a uc, and community college? what are the simlarities, pros cons?
