Got 2.5 compliments on my outfit today. The girls at Boston Common Ground loved the shirt, then skirt, then heels (1). Woman on the street said, "That's interesting. [Takes another look.] Yeah, that's an interesting style." (+1/2, because she was smiling, so I think it was a compliment) Girl on street: "Nice colors!" (+1)
You've seen the outfit before ...

The shoes that I <3, <3, <3 are Pliners, and you can't really tell here, but they are cooper and steel. They aren't my biking heels that I wore last time with this, but they also go well with the outfit.1 commentAugust 19th, 2010

Why again do I wear brand new 5" heels on a 6a - 8p day that involves a lot of standing and networking?! Because they look good. The look is worth the pain. :-)
Shoes are Report Signature.2 commentsAugust 12th, 2010

To celebrate my geeky side a friend sent me this shirt! This brings back memories of my fav HP calc growing up (which was RPN), and my assembly language programming class in college where we had to implement an RPN calculator. Remember that Mark? :-P
By the way the font is a nice machine font. Love it. And I love my friends who celebrate my geeky side. :-)0 commentsAugust 5th, 2010

Today's shirt is in honor of Alexis Ohanian, a reddit.com founder, and founder of Breadpig, who does the awesome xkcd and more. Alexis is a terrific person, and recently he opened up about his life during the founding of reddit. You'll see why he's special when you read the post:

While I adore his entrepreneurial passion, I also want to say that you can make an impact at any job or venture, as long as you want to. He chose founding something and others choose adding to bigger or even the biggest things. Both paths are right, as long as you are making a difference. Alexis does... and I hope you do too!0 commentsAugust 4th, 2010

On my shirt today: Sunshine is the best disinfectant -- a quote from US Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis about the benefits of openness and transparency.

I lead a round table at the Momentum Summit at MIT today titled: Strategy: When to stick with it, change it, dump it, and communicate around it. Thought this shirt was a good fit for that. Many people are uneasy with the statement. To me, it is exactly how you need to be with your strategy. Believe in it, pursue it, but don't let that belief or the work towards it, blind you to change it. Be willing to alter the direction to get to your end goal. Other close variations:
* Madeline Albright: Be confident, not certain.
* Eisenhower: Plans are useless, planning is indispensable.
And yes, I have all three on shirts... via Spreadshirt, of course.0 commentsJune 23rd, 2010
