A few notes: This song is metal/doom rock (i'm guessing completely here) themed, with some synth orchestration thrown into the mix.
It's kind of designed around an honoring of the past deeds (shown loosely in the melody, and the "clarion tones" in the period of silence at the beggining).
It's also a strong lament, shown in the distorted chords in the accompaniment, and the synth strings you hear that play with the melody. Also at the piercing tones at the end.
You should (depending if you have good speakers or not) hear a rumble at the begining and the end, which is supposed to be the rumbling of thunder, signifying the utter horror of the death of the angel, how even nature cries when they die.
