So this started as a really, really low budget/lazy attempt to recreate a cool picture of @ir0nhid3's, segwayed into me trying (again really lazily) to have decent lighting in my living room with a webcam, and finally became this, which looks like you took the negative of the left side of my face. Or maybe not. Perhaps I look like a weirdo with a cell phone pointed at my face. That's also a possibility I'm willing to include.

So I saw The Vow tonight, and I feel like you can summarize the movie as follows:

Rachel McAdams, wielding obscene amounts of attractive cuteness: "I don't know what's going on right now. Please don't hug me."

Rest of cast: "Okay. *hug*"

So guys. Five and a half weeks to spring break! :D Who's excited?! BECAUSE I AM! Don't know for sure that I'm doing anything special over break, but I'm still excited about it nonetheless. (If nothing else, The Hunger Games comes out the Friday of spring break! WOOOOOOO! :D)

I used somewhere around 3 hours of my evening tonight trying to derive this proof for the displacement of a simple beam of length H supported at either end, with equal and opposite moments at either end. The displacement function is in the form of y(x) = Asin (pi*x/H) + Bsin (3*pi*x/H), and I derived this garbage using the variational method.

In other news, I want Dolly Parton to be my grandma. Somehow, I ended up seeing the movie Joyful Noise last week, and it... wasn't good. But hey, Dolly Parton was really cute and junk, so I'd be entirely okay if she was related to me somehow. All I ask is that she confirm all the things with "ya darn skippy".

In: A mildly sunny, entirely snowless January afternoon. Room is uncomfortably warm. Alex, 20, dashingly handsome, sits at the computer.

*le clik* *le clik*

Alex: "*sigh* I'm bored. I don't wanna do homework."

*some hours later*

Alex: "Oh. Crap. Dailybooth exists?! NICELY DONE, ALEX. *checks last picture date* Lovely. Spiffing. It's only been three months since you last took a picture. Cause, y'know, three months just goes by like nobody's business. *headdesk*"

So, uhhhh... hey guys. I'm backish? Haha. Don't really know what happened there...

So I'm almost done being a college junior now. And since it's 2012, I can say I graduate next year. And I had a 3.5 week fling of doom with the Insanity workout, yet somehow managed to just gain weight the whole time. And I got to go to Dollywood the day before New Year's. Now I can say I've ridden roller coasters in December and been to a theme park run by a woman with humongous boobs. So there's that.

What's new witchu?!

Oh hey, guys. I'm a zombie, I'm sick, and I'm currently sprouting a unicorn horn out the right side of my head.

In the past two weeks, I have met two (2) people who work at Kings Island. Why am I not one of them, you ask? Because my life is average. I pretty much turned into a speed-talking, obsessive nerd on both occasions, so I'm pretty sure they think I'm insane. *shrug* Most people don't figure that out until they've known me a while.

Funny you should mention that, btw... I'm actually considering working at Cedar Point, Kings Island, or Kings Dominion next year. Don't know if it's legit gonna happen or not, but it's looking promising. And if it would happen, I would die. Legitimately. I'd keel over right in front of God and everyone at the interview.

Also, it's fall. When did this happen, you ask? I'm not sure. I'm not sure I approve, either. Holiday World closed yesterday AND I WAS NOT THERE ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGUH. (Which means I spent $100 on a pass that I only used once. Thanks for consuming my entire schedule all summer, work and school. Jerks.)

So my boss at school told me I do a good job today. And two of my students told me in the past week that I'm one of their favorite people to work with. Turns out there is actually a use for learning stuff in school, hahaha.
