It might be hard to see, but this is my new cellphone background, Tegoshi and Yamapi~~ Aren't they adorable?! I love the days when they were both young and so cute, and Tegoshi had that messy black hair and crooked-teethed smile, and Yamapi was all skinny and blonde. XD Good times, good times.

After Dark by Haruki Murakami~☆☆

Volunteering at the library every weekend comes in very handy, except for the fact that I take out too many books and draw up overdue fines. So, I told myself "I'm not going to take out any books this week." But somehow, instead of the usual manga section, I found myself searching up Haruki Murakami and looking for the two books I had remembered seeing before. After Dark was the one I remembered the most, and after 'just peeking' at the first chapter, I was hooked. I ended up coming back to the library after my shift to 'just read a little more' and by closing time, I had finished half the book and decided to take it out. I couldn't put it down.

I can't really explain the plot to you, it's something that you have to read to understand, because it doesn't really follow any sort of codes or conventions that we're used to seeing in fiction. But basically, it's about this 19-year-old pretty smart 'well-to-do' girl named Mari, who decides to stay out all night in downtown, and the people she meets there. It's also about some very strange things going on with her sister, Eri. But aside from that it's hard to really pinpoint or describe what is actually is about.

As well, the detailing for this book is awersome. There's so much imagery and description, along with a very unique writing style which at times feels like ordinary fiction, and at other times feels like it's drawing you in, pulling you into the story in some weird way like it's inside your head. I heard that Murakami is pretty famous as an author for Kafka on the Shore, I'm not sure that's written the same way, but if it is you get what I'm saying.

Anyways, this is seriously an awersome book, I really liked it, especially because I felt a lot of things in common between my personality and Mari's personality. It's wicked yo~

Wrong About Japan~☆☆

I finished reading this in class today~ Wrong About Japan by Peter Carey. It's a true story about how Peter's son became and anime and manga fan, and then he became interested, and so they go to Japan and interview all sorts of manga-ka and animators and stuff, and they find out all their assumptions are pretty much wrong. XD;; But it's cool, they mention a lot of titles, places, etc. that I know~

Going to sleep now~ So tired out from second semester, math first period is not very nice. And my whole 6 day school week, 5 course workload is not exactly fun either. Well, as long as I do well and get into university, it'll be worth it. (And then another 4 or so years of suffering!) Take care all~

Japanese class is epic fun~☆☆

Old pictures, but I just got sent these today~ XD Taken in Japanese class during the word game, basically, each team is assigned a different part of vocabulary (verd, noun, place, etc) and then we brainstorm 5 random vocabs on paper, and write them down. Then at random we pick one and come up, and whatever we have creates a crazy sentence. As you can see, popular places are Yamapi's car and Yamapi's bed. :'D (No, that wasn't even my vocab).

Ah~ We're all too cool.

Sexy Maru is sexy~☆☆

Random Nakamaru spam just because I can? O: Nothing much up today, just watching dramas, skimming my f-list and catching up on some other stuff I need to do. I'm sad, my vacation is ending, and I really didn't have that much time to relax at all in the last week. And now tomorrow I'm back to school. Ahh. - __ -;; Oh well, one last semester and then highschool is over and done with. I can't wait til the long weekend, and then march break.

February is Tegomasu month~

Ahh~ This is suitable because it's Valentines month, also Family Day month, so oh well, Tegomasu are cute love, who clearly need to go make a family. They can adopt Kato Seishiro to be their adorable son, and have the cutest family ever~ /dreams But anyways, what a better way to start off a new semester than waking up to this gorgeous picture every morning? O: There is no better way!!

Sunday~ It was my friend's 18th birthday this Sunday~ We've been friends since Kindergarten, so about 14 years now~ We've had our ups and downs but it's nice to see that she's doing well now, and I had a fun time hanging out with her, two of our other close friends, and her boyfriend. Plus, I got to play with her cute hamsters Autumn and Smudge~ They're adorable! XD Anyways hanging out with childhood friends is always good times, I can't believe she's 18, an adult, already!

Coffee Prince is l-o-v-e♥

I borrowed the entire box set of Coffee Prince off a friend from Japanese class, I've only seen the first episode before now. It looked interesting, but I never thought it would be THIS interesting. So from Saturday until now, I've basically been absent from the internets because I was watching this! It's the cutest story about a girl who pretends to be a boy in order to work at this cafe place, and she ends up falling for the manager, and the manager falls for 'him'. XD It's so cute~ I love all the random "OMG I'M GAY?!"

Plus this is like my first real K-Drama, everything else Korean I've watched so far has just been variety-type shows feature Super Junior. XD;; But hey, those are good too~
