Ick. Splinters. It'll be better once they are all out. At least it was chicken coop splinters and not hauling dead tree limbs splinters?

CHICKENS! You may suggest to The Katherine that bantee chickens are the most adorable bundles of cuteness that have ever been called a chicken. They're teeny!

Aw, I used to have splinters in my hands and feet all the time as a kid, I'm glad I don't play with dangerous stuff anymore - or at least not as often as I used to...

Credit cards (or I guess any plastic cards) tend to be pretty effective in picking out splinters.

why is it that the smallest things hurt the worst? splinters and papercuts hurt so much more then like a broken leg.

I have to say....on the order of things, splinters do not hurt very much...neither do paper cuts. The most painful thing that ever happened to me was when I shattered my toe, and drove my toe-nail into my cuticle. That was about 10,000 times more painful than the splinter...just sayin'

O_O meep! The shop kids at my uni get rather good at pulling splinters... it still freaks me out to watch. I got a massive one in my palm during the last strike and one of the larger shop kids had to sit on me so they could pull it out... not fun... but i LOVE the Katherine's glasses

@hankgreen yeah.. i don't even know what mine was... probably when i was little on a trampoline in Idaho some kid, who was probably 2.5 times myself, landed on my ankle and sprained it, or when i got stepped on by a horse and my foot turned pretty colors and was swollen for days. the scars didn't even hurt that much.. i fell asleep when i got the stitches under my eye. lol

I used to get those all the freakin' time as a kid. My mom always had a pair of tweezers in her purse, just in case.

@hankgreen Yeah. Splinters like this are nothing. Papercuts, however... Have you ever gotten one in your EYE? Those hurt like MAD!

@hankgreen Paper cuts only hurt in some places, like between your fingers. And even then, it's more of an aching pain. Now, breaking/fracturing, or in your case, shattering a bone on the other hand...that hurts.

when i was about 5 i got a splinter and i remember so clearly thinking to myself that it was the worst pain anyone in the world ever felt and i was the only one for it to ever happen to. not making that up.
