Wow Hank, i'm so glad to see you doing better.
I know what it's like to find that medication that really changes everything. I hope things with the Asacol get sorted, it's really not great what's happening with it.
Yeah, you weren't looking so hot. I have a lot of experience with sick family (in house and out of) and it's stressful. Try to stay positive. Be well friend.
Wow! It doesn't even look like you. I had a similar experience with my illness about 4 years ago, where I lost a whole bunch of muscle mass from inflammation, and then the medications made me retain water and I didn't look like the same human being. It's crazy looking at pictures from when I was sick.
Sad and sick Hank looks so sad and sick. I'm so happy you're okay now Hank, honestly. I am most definitely sending them an email as soon as possible (as, alas, math homework has to be done. I'd much rather be in Nerdfighteria.) but I'm just honestly happy you're not this sick anymore. DFTBA, Hank ^-^ I shall be writing the email first thing after school tomorrow! :D
A few years ago, I decided to stop dying and start living.
But the cost of drugs was depressing and that made it worst.
I was able to get with a program (VA) and get the drugs provided.
Good luck and I really hope things work out for you.
And the whole US of A as far as medical issues go.
I have ulcers and I went a week without medication once and it was like someone torched my stomach and cut it at the same time. Good to know your felling better @hankgreen but the price of medication is ridiculous. Good luck with your petition of sorts. DFTBA!
Oh, jeez... They thought I had Ulcerative Colitis for a while. Turns out it was just a vitamin D deficiency, but still. Wow. Hank... wow. Emails will be sent! Phone calls will be made! #dftba
I'm so glad your better now. I have celiacs disease, which I know is completely different, but I know how it feels to be really sick. I'm so glad you're better now! I will be emailing WC soon!!!
Oh, just...hell. I know how awful it is to have someone with an illness who needs treatment and can't get it. This just breaks my heart. I'm so glad you're better now, Hank, and I hope we can contribute to the reduction of the giant WorldSuck that is Warner Chilcott and thus help other people to get better too. #DFTBA
I had a friend who was battling leukemia who looked worse than you, but that's really not saying much. I'm glad to see you have changed a lot for the better!
I'm so pissed to hear about everything that you and other sufferers are going through. It really isn't right, and there's no reason for it to happen. I hope things get better for you!
This picture makes me pretty sad. But also happy..that you're much better now. Yeah I know I've just repeated what everyone else was saying. But it's true.
i'm glad there's a drug outthere that can help you as good as it does, so yay for science!
but a giga boo for stupid drug companies making bad decisions and not thinking about the people they cause health and/or financial problems with their urge to make more money!!!
how can somebody in their right mind be okay with the thought that it is "give us all your money or suffer" for some people?!? and not even giving them the chance to find other options in time! that's insane!
Aww, just looking at this picture makes me sad. It reminds me so much of the time I got so sick. I have UC too. I lost over 19 pounds in 3 weeks. I went down to 86 Ibs. It kept getting worse and worse every day until I got the right treatment. But now I'm better and really happy to see you doing better too. You look much healthier now. It's great that you found the drug that works for you. That situation with the drug company is insane. I hope they will come to their senses and lower the price.
Oh, my! I am happy that you have medicine to make you feel and look better. I also hope you can keep getting that medicine to make you feel and look better.
