Just gave blood and they pricked my finger so now it hurts to play guitar! Should've had 'em prick my right hand.

Or you could try playing right handed. Consider it a challenge.

I just gave blood too!! Except mine was to get blood testing done for my doctors appointment on Tuesday, so it's not as altruistic as yours.

I gave blood a couple of days ago too! Except they pricked my fingers twice, and almost a thired time, and both of them felt bruised for about 24 hours.

I have trouble being sympathetic of a fear of needles when it comes to donating blood. Five minutes of discomfort = up to 3 lives saved.

My next appointment is on December 1st. :D

How about using a pick? (I know, different sound, but at least then you still get to play.)

Here's a little trick I learned.... next time, have them prick the side of your finger. It doesn't hurt NEARLY as much, and you maintain full functionality of all of your phalanges. :D
