@NOxxxNAME Sometimes I wonder if the perception I have of myself doesn't match my actual physical self.

Just been thinking about how everything we have mentally is composed of knowledge and memories and memories of ourselves, of others, they're all only our perceptions of what happened and what we and others were like. They're not actually what did happen and what we and others were like.

@NOxxxNAME Ohh. There's a scary thought. I'm sure it happens all the time though. Everyone knows assuming is bad and you shouldn't assume blabbity blah, but it's a part of how we make sense out of things we don't have all the information for. We connect the dots in ways that make sense to us. So ending up with a belief that someone likes certain things when in fact they may not is very possible if not probable.

Then for a person to change themself for that, something that's not really there, it's like the person they're changing themself for isn't there at all. Or doesn't even exist. At least not within the realm of people they know or are considering.

@sure3 Who Knows Who Cares? Is that a band? I've never heard of them before? Def love stringed instruments.

@NOxxxNAME Ah but then that's where it can get even MORE interesting. Cause suddenly then, it's not just about person #1 changing themselves. It's also about person number one deciding who person #2 is in that way that they are deciding that person's likes and dislikes for them. At lease in their own head and applying it to them. With something such as this, person #1 who unknowingly alway had control in the first place, has even more control. Their subconscious efforts to read #2 is giving them creative as well as destructive power over #2 in their own head in regard to that person. Lol, I think I'm going in circles. Does that make sense?

So in a way, especially if they're misreading #2, they're not changing themselves for #2, how could they when they're assuming about #2. They're really changing themselves for themselves THINKING it's for #2.

@Williammm26 You commented! I love it when you comment. Thank you! I went in having no idea what I was gonna do but wanting to update so people knew I was alive. It worked out pretty well. =)

@NOxxxNAME That just seems tragic. I mean, that they have the power to be anything they want to be and they symbolically give it to someone else.

I feel like I struggle with the concept of people changing. There are times I want to believe people can, especially if they have a hard life or destructive habits, but then there's this serious perhaps pesimistic part of me that thinks we as individuals are what we are and that is not something that can be changed. Surface stuff maybe but not who we are deep down.

It makes think we're more worthy but really we're just doing it for our own gain. Sorry, random topic change hehe.

@TheMargatron Ah, that's so disheartening to think about. Granted I think it does bear some weight in truth. But I think mabes it's because it's human nature to do things that'll benefit them, ensure survival and a happiness.

Have you read the Tao Te Ching? It's an ancient Chinese text. One of the things it says is things you do anonymously without attaching your name to them, will last longer. And make you happier in the long run.

@NOxxxNAME I want to believe that. But I have trouble with it. It's not that I'm trying to be pessimistic, just... realistic, I suppose. Even when people feel inspired and want to change, inspiration is not always a long-lived feeling and too often after it peters out, so does the efforts put forth.

@winklerr Mabes they are. Perhaps they were made By the gods FOR the gods and in a vision, during which a god was sending down a vision to man, godly computer cam to in-head vision, he was sitting down on his godly futon and so it too was in the vision and man, so enamored by the vision, recreated everything he saw. And THAT, my friend, is how futon's came into existance for us. Lol, maybe.

@Danbum Wow, western Scotland. That sounds amazing.

I guess it makes sense that there would diff accents depending on your local, western, easterm, southern... But for it to be that broad. Tis crazy. My long lost cous. told me this story about how she went to a part of Albuquerque and even speaking Spanish fluently for years, she struggled to understand it. She was told, "it's still Spanish, you just have to listen closely because they tend to remove the beginnings and endings of words and run them together." She was in awe. At that point, it's almost like it's a different language.

@justinebeans Just put a 'nother song in there for you. (grins) Tis a slowsome one.

Thank you! For letting me share music with you. AND for sharing music with me. I'm really enjoying it.

@sure3 Oh all those're great. I love that classic Frank Sinatra-y sound Michael Buble has. Script's great too. Fun music.

Right now? I think my favorite bands are Noah and the Whale, Athlete, and Freelance Whales. Lol, they're always changing. Really loving those right now though in that repeat-button sort of way. =)

Oh, also, I'm just getting into the band Air Traffic Control. So far, I like 'em.

@Williammm26 That sounds grrrrrreeat to me.

Lol, I suddenly feel like Tony the Tiger.

@Williammm26 Dude, you ever have a favorite cereal that your grocery store just stops selling? You may already know this, but I think it's absolutely amazing. (puts hands on your shoulders and looks you in the eyes) Amazon sells cereal. Scout's honor! Cereals that's you have trouble finding... you can get from Amazon.
