    Hi, Dailybooth. It's been so long.. just thought I should remind you of what my face & words sound like (er.. written words read like? what? haha).

    I've started my 3rd semester of the nursing program, which just sounds completely nuts to me. Sometimes I worry I'm not where I should be at with my skills/knowledge, but when I look back at all my notes and at my clinical progression, I feel like it's definitely something I can be proud of.

    This semester I have my Pediatrics and Obstetrics clinical sites. So far it's only been orientation (had my Peds one on Wednesday, my OB one is on Monday!) but I'm stoked for what this semester has in store for me. I'm scared still, but excited nonetheless. (:

    Also, I need to go clothes shopping. I keep rotating the same outfits over & over. It's not cute, haha.

    It may appear like I am wearing a onesie.. but sadly, 'tis not true. ): I wish I had a onesie.

    I also realize I post the most awkward & unflattering pictures of myself (though, when do I ever have any non-awkward & flattering ones anyway?).

    It's finals weekend/upcoming week. I have to stay up really late tonight to get a bunch of studying in because I chose to stay out on Friday night & proceeded to sleep in the following day. So my Saturday night will be filled with frantic studying.

    Oh, but Friday night I got to see a bunch of my musician friends & got to meet people from the Glee project! /swoon for Cameron Mitchell.

    K, back to studying. I need to focus! .. after this post, and checking Tumblr.. and maybe even YT subs. Kbye. :p

    I had "minor" surgery yesterday in which they only used local anesthesia. That was the part that hurt the most. I went in thinking that I wouldn't feel any pain at all, but nope.. injection of local anesthesia hurt like a *bleep*. It burns & stings like no other.. had about 7 injections of that, all of which hurt so much. The procedure after that just felt like tugging.. except for when the surgeon went a little bit outside of the scope of anesthetized area so that I could feel the pinching of the scissors. Yes, it hurt but I figured I'd just handle it.. until one time when he realllyyy went outside of the area and I had to yelp, to get the response of "You felt that?!" in a horrified manner & quickly resume to a professional "It will be done in a few minutes.. he's stitching you back up." and "It'll be pretty again" by the surgeon. It hurts like crazy right now, but I'll deal.

    In happier news, I don't have to go in today to pick patients & do paperwork (which takes 22 hours, no lie, to complete) since I'm going to the Cath Lab tomorrow & Friday. However, I do have two exams on Monday that I have to study for (Pharmacology & Nurse-Client Relationships). Oh, fun times.
