Well, I was smiling all normal and I felt my bun start to fall... so, this is what you get.
Fun fact: doing this will not keep it from coming undone. In fact, it might make things worse.
I was going to talk about the debate, but screw it. It's pretty much all I've talked about all day and I'm kind of sick of it. Of course this means, I've got nothing to say... :/
Questions for you then:
- Do you follow politics? If you're from the US, what's your opinion on the republican candidates?
- Show me your hair, please? Do you like it or would you prefer change it?
- Or if you don't have a head (or your just bald), tell me if you do that whole resolutions thing. (I don't.)8 commentsJanuary 3rd, 2012

So, I'm definitely sitting in my car, sort of in the middle of nowhere reading right now. And to be honest, I would really like to go home. I can't though because I have people that are counting on me for a ride later and besides I promised I'd come. And I completely realize that I would be reading anyway if at home, but still. I also have to pee rather badly, but refuse to go into the house with no one around because I don't really know the people we're visiting.
Anyway, I've noticed that I have started checking and contributing to my various social networking accounts less and less lately. The only reason I still check them at all is because I start to worry about people, so I creep on them for a little bit and then I'm on my way. I don't think I'll stop using these things altogether any time soon, but I won't be using them anymore than I have lately either.
It just gets tiring, you know?
You know, I just reread the above and it sounds like I'm in a really shitty mood, but oddly enough I'm not.
Hm, anyway, how often do you guys use or check any of your various accounts? Are you super involved or do you just kind of lurk?
Also, bonus points if you can name what I'm reading. :p4 commentsJanuary 2nd, 2012

(Ignore the arm, sometimes I just feel the need to raise it)
So, today is much better.
Probably because I've done nothing more than cook yummy things and watch random movies and tend to the neighbors dog.
oh, and eat. It's like my parents are trying to fatten me up or something... Speaking of which, my dad just came through with pecans. And I just can not turn down pecans.
Anyway, my favorite bit about Christmas is coming up later tonight: Waffle House dinner. Yeah, I know. But we've gone after the Christmas service every year since, well, ever and something about it is just insanely... Christmasy? Comforting? And even though I'm not going to the service this year my parents said they'd come get me after so we can still go. They were actually more insistent that I go eat than go to church. (It was an interesting change) Of course, I have to make it through visiting some family friends first, but I'm sure I can do it...
Do you have a favorite thing you do each year for Christmas?

Sorry, but today is not a good day. Here's why:
- I came home to find out that my cat got outside, and we still can't find her. And it's all cold out there.
- My bird died at some point as well.
- If I think about these things for too long I'll start crying again.
- @fuzzw4d is quite sick, I'm sort of convinced he's going to die. This would also be very sad.
Right. I can't even think of anything to booth about, I'm sorry. It's just a lame day. Maybe link me your favorite christmas song? That'd be a nice change of pace. This is mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfuUlZdUtbg
Very Christmasy, I know.
Edit: Coraline just showed up, no collar and a hurt paw, by the front door. :D6 commentsDecember 23rd, 2011

I look insanely creepy, but hey, that's ok cos I'm watching Beauty and the Beast. It's that sad part where she trades her freedom for her father's, so yeah.
You know, last night I realized there are quite a few "classic" Disney movies I just don't like. LIke, Bambi and Pinocchio and Dumbo (but really, who DOES like this one?). Oh, and then there's The Little Mermaid. That's how this whole thing got started (we were listening to the "kiss the girl" song)... The whole movie just kind of reminds me of a cheap cruise. Which is a shame because Ariel has awesome hair.
Anyway. My favorites (not counting Pixar collaborations, because then it would be UP all the time. And even that new one that hasn't come out yet: Brave. Because I already know I'm going to love it) would be: Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty (basically just for Maleficent), and The Jungle Book. You know, because they're awesome.
So. What're your favorites? What about the ones you just don't like?10 commentsDecember 20th, 2011

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I ride the bus at work, so I usually get there early to sit and read/eat/nap. But today there two maintainance vans back here and the workers keep staring (I guess cos sitting here and eating is kind of creepy if you don't know what's going on).
I never really know how to act around service people (waiters included), so I always end up either ignoring them like a complete asshole or mumbling and fidgeting so that I have to repeat everything I say. >.>
I honestly don't know how I'd prefer people to act either if I did some kind of repair/waiting job.
How are you guys when it comes to these things?
Oh, and it probably doesn't help the awkwardness that I have this song on repeat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Jv9fNPjgk&feature=youtube_gdata_player3 commentsDecember 15th, 2011

So, this is what happened on the way to work. When it was finally my turn to go I had to wait at the tip of the trailer because a tiny bus on the other side was trying to turn around. So I ended up talking to the guys directing traffic, which was interesting oddly enough. The oldest one said he hates when they get stuck like this because everyone that gets mad , gets mad at them and not the trailer or the driver. And the young one says he just laughs at the ones that get angry. I would probably do that too, but out of nervousness. :P
Anyway, now I'm at work reading and boothing instead of setting up. I always try to see how long I can go without doing it (in the hopes my boss will have to), but she's currently not yet here. Plus, it's really hard to relax when I know things need to be done.
I always give in.
So, I dont really know what to ask you guys today. Maybe, what's the best part of your day so far? Does that work? xD
I do hope you are all having a great day though.3 commentsDecember 14th, 2011

Two things:
- My mom just got in a few minutes ago from a trip to visit a friend in Texas. I use that term loosely of course because this friend didn't even remember that time that my mom dealt with that tiny little issue of kidney failure. And she came talking about how the woman was completely self-centered as per usual. I just, no matter how much I try, can not understand why she continues to talk to her. Maybe it's because she's so nice. Really, she's an insanely kind human being; she can't even be that sarcastic, passive-aggressive kind of mean.
- My dad is now telling her about this movie he watched last night and what he's saying is almost word for word what he said to me about it earlier. It's kind of entertaining though because he almost always starts talking about a movie with "Well, it was rated __, and there was some language and risque scenes that shouldn't have been there but.." They have both steadily done this since I was little...Oh, what little do they know. :P
Another thing he always says: if a couple is living together pre-marriage he will always, without fail, point out that that's not ok. Although now I think he does that because he knows how I feel on the subject.
Do you guys have a hard time dealing with people you don't find nice/particularly care for?
I don't know if I said this above, but I do. I guess I take after my mom. >.>9 commentsDecember 13th, 2011

I'm fairly certain this is the cutest shirt ever. Maybe. I'm not really sure.
Anyway, I got it this weekend while in New Orleans for my old high school's football championship. (That's actually way more fun than it sounds) I was going to booth while down there, but my phone decided to update its software, killing my battery.
We rode this bus down there with all of these strangers, and for once I tried to be social. It didn't go very well though because everyone within 5 years of my age was drawn like a magnet to this thoroughly uninteresting girl simply because she was stereotypically pretty (you know, for a 14 year old). During the lone conversation I had with her she used the phrase "most best" and meant it, so really I don't feel like I was missing much. I ended up just kind of sticking with my dad and my old math teacher (she was surprisingly interesting).
It seems it's always easier for me to get along with people not near my age. I don't know, I guess I should be used to it by now.
How about you guys? Do you do well with your age group, or do you branch out?
Oh, and we won by the way. (because I'm sure you were all insanely curious. :P)5 commentsDecember 12th, 2011

My view this evening. :P
They were all drunk and whatnot and it was pretty funny, but now they're sobering up so I've lost interest.
And I didn't bring my book so I've nothing to do.
Anyway, I don't really know what to say because my eyelids are getting heavy, but I'll booth tomorrow to make up for this failure of a post.
Until then, tell me the last three books you read?
Mine are that book I can't name, Hector and the Search for Happiness, and Swamplandia! (well, I just started it today).
Also, I think someone is asleep in the bathroom.
And I sort of have to pee. >.>7 commentsDecember 9th, 2011
