I'm doing a mini design project in art this week seeing as it's the second last before we leave for summer. I'm trying to make a Hello Kitty perfume bottle, but holy shit. It's awful. It's just a huge, mushy ball of news paper and PVA glue. But whatevz.
What's Switzerland like? I'm going next week with my school. It's a geography trip, so we're really just going for the glaciers but we're also going to the Nestle chocolate factory and an aqua park. Our hotel is right up in the mountains. It looks so beautiful.
What're your plans for this summer?1 commentJune 13th, 2011

My parents wanted me to go outside today. They meant with friends, but seeing as I have no idea what friends are, I opted to sit in the back yard with my gameboy and play Pokemon Sapphire. <3

I can't tell if my parents are taking the piss out of the fact I'm upset or not. But whatever. I have the Hunger Games to keep me happy.

Is it strange that the best piece of advice I've ever received was from a video game? I was playing Bully and in the carnival there's a fortune teller. You give it a dollar and in return, it gives you a message.
"Facts won't stop existing, just because you ignore them."
It gave me a new perspective. I always tucked away my problems into the back of my mind, hoping they would just disappear. Slowly, my mind was becoming so tangled up with my thoughts but it still didn't stop me from suppressing them.
This message did. I'm beginning to deal with my issues instead of hiding them. I've learnt they aren't going to go away unless I make them.4 commentsJune 9th, 2011

I'm fourteen and I'm bisexual. I realised when I was thirteen and I kept it to myself for eleven months because I had no one to trust. I didn't think anyone would treat me the same anymore.
When I finally felt ready to come out, it was incredible. It seemed like the weight of the world had been lifted off of my shoulders, for once. Some of my insecurites went away. The almost ready to cave in feeling vanished. I even began to make sense of things that I didn't understand when I was younger.
But now I'm being told I'm too young to be bisexual. It's all for attention or to be "trendy" or "different". Fair enough, maybe some people are claiming to be bisexual for those reasons, but honestly, how would anyone even know? Nobody has any idea what another person is feeling or going through. They could have enough on their plate from homophobic parents or friends. They could be like I was at first, scared and confused. I wish people would just stop making it so much worse and so much more difficult for them.6 commentsJune 8th, 2011

Book stores are my favourite places in the whole entire world. The atmosphere, the smell of the new books, the silence. It's perfect. I could spend hours in a book store, just taking it all in. You hear so many people claiming that "the movies are better than the books," but that's not true. At least to me.
I adore the feeling of a new book. Touching the smooth cover, turning the unread pages and falling in love with the characters. You can't get that sense of friendship from a movie. You can't build up your own view of the characters or the settings in a movie. It's just given to you.
Your own imagination is so much better than a director's.2 commentsJune 7th, 2011
