Due to the sudden excessive free time I've been dealt, I intend to be using much of this time to be the writer I keep claiming I am. Unfortunately, it seems to be a bit harder when I have the time. Still, I'm going to get into a routine. No sitting in bed - I'm treating it like a job. Get up, sit at the table, notebooks and word documents at my disposal, as well as some books for prompts.

Actually managing to get some words down and they might well be rubbish, but I've got to start somewhere. I've got so many ideas I think are good, it's just the task of getting them down onto the paper.

"How To Live Safely In A Science Fictional Universe" by Charles Yu

In one minute, Charles Yu is going to murder himself.

Again.

Charles is a time machine repairman. He's certified for all T-class chronogrammatical vehicles, employed by Time Warner Time, and works out of Minor Universe 31, a slightly damaged, unfinished spatio-temporal structure and entertainment complex. The job should be a blast: he gets his own state-of-the-art TM-31 time machine; he gets to choose its operating system (he selects TAMMY – chestnut hair, dark brown eyes, etc); he gets to carry a cool, scary looking gun (a paradox neutralization concept weapon); and he has an imaginary dog called Ed.

So why is Charles stuck in such a rut? He’s spent the better part of a decade avoiding work and his software boss Phil. He’s used the time to spy on 39 different versions of himself in alternate universes (and discovered that 35 of them are total jerks). And he’s kind of fallen in love with TAMMY, which is bad because she doesn’t have a module for that.

So with all that on his mind, perhaps it’s no surprise that when he meets a version of his future self, he shoots him in the stomach. And that’s a beginner’s mistake for a time machine repairman. He’s now stuck in a time loop. Going in circles forever. All he has, wrapped in brown paper, is the book his future self was trying to give him when he shot him. It’s called “How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe”. And he’s the author. And somewhere inside it is the information that could save him.

Unplug your brain for this one, it's completely mad. Just don't think about it, go along with it and love it, because it's well worth a read, just to make you think again about time travel and what it can do.

So you, my friends, in the UK, check out if your timetable allow you to be there, I would not mind having a coffee in good company before walking by the Thames :)

I would be going up North 22-27 October, you might pm me if you want so I can see over time if the itinerary my friend is making is passing by your place.

Since the feeds have been going nuts, I may repost a similar blurb in the near future.

I will admit, this a rather odd pose to strike for a booth. There are multiple reasons for me doing this though:

1) It's a part whistle in appreciation of just how friggin awesome Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is!!!!! xD went to the press premiere last night and it was amazing (got free popcorn too xD lol). Got interviewed for a movie site after which was pretty awesome it must be said.

2) I remembered that I'm still one booth behind because my little adventure last night took me away from my laptop lol. So this booth shall be followed shortly by another one which will be today's booth (follow? I know what I'm doing, honestly ^_^).
