HD or SP?

So today my tutor came into placement to observe me, was rubbish, but i will take on board the criticism i recieved. Saw her after placement, when i went on to pick up my folder from college and she said she thought she had been maybe to harsh on me, i said she hadn't, but remembering what i felt at the time afterwards, i thought two things were a bit harsh and maybe a bit exzagerated. Gonna get more support now apparently too and be more closely monitored which i suppose is good, but i hate being watched and is one of the reasons i didn't do so well maybe. If i know someones watching me i become a bit worried. If i'm just having a convo with a child, i'm usually pretty ok, especially if i know the child and i am improving cause i think even by the afternoon i was improving. I mean i've only been in this class for two days now. I hardly know anything about them, i'm currently trying to know all their names, i'm almost there. :D Soon i shall be able to identify them from the back of their heads. :)

How do you take criticism? Whether positive or negative?
Do you mind being watched when doing things?
Are you good at remembering names and learning them?
What's my name? :P

And last thing, i've caught up on the booths, woo!, so at least not having an early night, meant i did something i've been meaning and wanting to do. Now i just have one thing i want to do and lots of work to do. Yay! :)

Show me your cute faces, as well as answering my many questions. :)
Thank you. :)

I have a mercurial response to criticism... depends on mood, who it's coming from (and how much I respect that person), other issues (i.e. whether it's a triggering moment/person/effect for past trauma), etc. Not fair, I know, but sometimes it's the best I can do... If I respect the source and it's handled well, I generally absorb it. Otherwise, my stress responses are pretty bad... ;(

Being watched drives me up the wall, especially when doing something meaningful -- THEN, I have to cocoon; otherwise I'm content with sitting at the back of a room or against a wall... of course, sometimes it's fun to control a room from the back. Of course, if what I'm doing necessitates being watched -- teaching/lecturing, speaking, acting -- then it's ok ;)

I'm pretty ok with names as long as I've seen them in print. I am, however, partially face-blind, which presents it's own complications when *applying* learned names. I'm rather fond of people wearing visible name badges for obvious reasons *smirk*.

And your name is easy... "Emma Lucie" -- easy to remember because deceptively similar to the daughter ("Emmy (Emily) Louise"). :)

    Awh, you look pretty! :)

I think I'm pretty good at taking criticism on board, but I often find it difficult to act on it.
I hate being watched or monitored in any way. It makes me nervous, so I make more mistakes than if I wasn't being watched. It's why I hate exams so much.

I'm okay with names, but if there are too many people to take in, I forget them pretty quickly. For example at big family events, like my mum and step-dad's wedding. I only remembered close family and friends' names.

Emma Lucy (-ie?) Carroll :P I remember it thanks to your username. :D

I'm really critical of myself, so when other people criticize me (usually bad) it just gets me really down, and I end up feeling like shit.
Good criticizism is alright, but I don't strive for it.
I don't really like being watched - especially during tests - I'm paranoid of being falsely accused n' such.
Names? Oh, yeah, not so good unless I see/talk to them often.
YOU'RE NAMES EMMA, LAST NAME CARROLL. Like, Lewis Carroll... which reminds me, are you related to him at all? Like, that'd be SO FRICKEN COOL.

@PhraseMe Lewis Carroll was a nom de plume... his real name was Charles Dodgson - IIRC hes was Maths faculty at Oxford (hence writing children's books with a pen name). ;)

I hate when people watch you do things, mainly because I'll end up doing stupid like dropping food all over myself when eating or something :)
haha I usually repeat names over and over again until I remember. I remember this especially happened a lot when I was out one time and I repeatedly asked everyone's names so I could remember them. I'm just too cool.

I can take criticism pretty well. Sometimes, depending on the person, not so well. If they're being ridiculously harsh, I don't take it very well at all. I don't mind being watched - I'm going to be a social worker, so I have to get used to it.

I'm very good at remembering names! Yours is Emma. :]

I'm can take criticism well (providing it is good remarks) I listen to bad criticism but don't really take it in, unless it is something to do in coursework. I don't really listen to people when i work out in the gym as i get cross messages to doing the perfect workout and getting fit and losing weight

I hate being watched. When i did work experience0 2/3 even 4 years ago in my local supermarket i had to be watched all the time, made me very uneasy and very pressured.

and your names Emma from the deep south.

and heres a just woken up smile. :)

My fortune cookie from the other day.. it says, "New people are entering your life, bringing new concepts."

I think it's more difficult to give criticism. I'm pretty good at taking it though, I think. I'm maybe slightly below average at remembering names and faces, but I know yours is Emma :)

Ah that's how you remembered! Well i'm impressed you remember my full name.
I know your name is Verity and i remember you last name too, but i dunno if i've ever been told your middle name, but if i have i don't remember.

@PhraseMe Awww :( Don't be so critical on yourself.
Haha and no i'm not related to him or really hardly anyone with the name Carroll.
Merci beaucoup for the pretty picture.

@currykidd Mmm, yeah that can tend to happen. :)

@emluca123 yes, I have an 8-year-old daughter named "Emily Louise" (though we call her "Emmy" out of the same family tradition that conveyed her first name in the first place)... thus "deceptively similar" (both first *and* middle) and therefore easy-to-remember (for me, at least!). :)
