I just left someone a comment that said "in your pants". Then I realized my little icon thing was still a five year old. Yeah...
My hair is longer than it was in this picture.
I got a pretty Nikon for my birthday.
Contrary to popular belief, I miss you all.
Today I bought my Jazz Fest one day pass. This will give me access to Robert Plant & the Band of Jay, Jeff Beck, Wyclef, The Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons, and a number of other bands that aren't headliners but will be lovely.

As of today, I’ve been alive eighteen years. I’m in this strange place of awe and fear of what’s behind and before.
My mother wrote me a lovely little note and towards the end it said, “Elizabeth I hope you do’nt mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is while your in the world.”
She makes many grammatical errors. But making my day? On spot.7 commentsMarch 24th, 2011

I should start doing this again, huh?
Today is Ostara, the Spring Equinox. The moon has been large and beautiful. I turn 18 in three days, have my pirate-themed party in 20 days, register for college in 28 days, see The Avett Brothers in 40 days, graduate highschool in 50 days, leave for Bonnaroo in 80 days, watch DH Part 2 (hopefully at Leaky Con!) in 110 days, and start college in 130 days...
So much has happened, so much more will happen. I'm happy and depressed and excited and overwhelmed. Can you hear my heart beating like a hammer? Help, I'm alive.

I love her. You'll love her.
Right this second, what do you love?

Despite what this picture might suggest, my first New Orleans Mardi Gras was less than wonderful. The night involved:
-driving uptown, parking, then walking the three or so miles downtown
-trying to use the crosswalks in the Quarter during the parade and getting trapped in the median by the police with a large crowd of other angry people
-during that time meeting a stag party of Londoners asking for boobies and/or blow jobs; I gave the groom my psychedelic fish and he gave me a kiss on the cheek
-one of them was a professional West End actor!
-almost getting run down by a police horse
-not having had anything to drink for those three sequestered hours; no food since noon
-wading through a sea of disgusting trash only to get stuck in a press of people who couldn’t move, started to voice their dissent; things looked about to get violent, someone yelled about a fight starting and someone else said there was a gun; we were blocked by the police barricades; when the finally let us through it was a stampede…
-meeting up with our group and learning that one of them got sliced in the nose by some beads (profuse blood) and went back home with her boyfriend
-going to Bourbon only to find $20-$40 cover charges
We ended up going back to my friend’s house, eating, and playing acoustic guitar. That was nice, but I’m still very distraught over not having seen Anderson Cooper.4 commentsMarch 7th, 2011

@senorchrees did this thing a long time ago, and I only just yesterday did a thing back. The picture in this Booth is unrelated,

I have been Chris Fairley’s number two guy for about 5 years. And we make a great team. We’re like one of those classic famous teams. He’s like Mozart and I’m like…Mozart’s friend. No. I’m like Butch Cassidy and Chris is like…Mozart. You try and hurt Mozart? You’re gonna get a bullet in your head courtesy of Butch Cassidy.5 commentsFebruary 20th, 2011

I finally got a last.fm since I'm hip and whatnot. I haven't been invested in social networking much anymore, but since I've been trying to seriously broaden my musical horizons, it seemed the right thing to do. I know most of you must have one, cause you're way hipper than me. This is the perfect way for us to keep in touch a bit better, yes?

It finally let me upload, hurrah. This was written 1/11.
Hello, Dailybooth. I...think?
Ok, this whole thing is quite frightening. I'm sure I'll grow accustomed, gush about its amazingness, etc. But for now...
Yikes. System shock.
Technology is scaring me more and more every day. I'm not talking medicine-wise and etc, but things that concern us and our social habits. From 1984 to Fahrenheit 451 to Wall-E, I think people should be a little more cautious.
In Silicon Valley developers are hard at work creating "thingies", like websites, apps, etc. Regardless of what they are, the main goal is the same. Can you guess?
Making their product completely indispensible to us.
All of this bothers me strongly. I don't want one piece of machine to do everything, everything, completely control my life. No. No thank you. I don't want a chip in my future child's head, I don't want to read books on a screen, I don't want Mark Zuckerburg, who doesn't believe in privacy as a social norm (no, seriously) to have all of my information.
What do you think about all this?
PS: If DB is gonna get all fancy, how about a way to upload a song with our post? Eh?4 commentsJanuary 18th, 2011

Very bad internet; this is on my phone. Check the most recent text post on elizatheriot.tumblr.com for a proper blurb. Favorite 2010 highlights?
