    So basically, for school, we've had these electronic video yearbooks for the past few years, right? They're made by the students in the yearbook class, and no one else in the class did shit, so I had to stay in for recess every day straight for the past three months, and the past week or two I skipped lunch as well. Today, I fuckin' finished it. 32 and a half minutes of pictures and videos is all compiled into a somewhat-orderly fashion. You have no idea how happy I am.

    A sad attempt at a smile. Oh joy.

    This week I have my school trip. We're going camping for a week. I love camping, but I'm not sure if I can handle camping with 30 teenagers and my teachers.

    Oh, and my entire grade is mad at my friend Griffin because we had an 8th grade field trip thing because the teachers are like HOORAY YOU'RE LEAVING WE HATE YOU ASSHOLES. Anyway, shit went down, they all hate them, I feel bad. They're somewhat mad at me too because I'm not trying to murder the poor kid. Pffft.

    This week, I've been doing my internship, where I shadow Keith Brown at the University of Tennessee's Music Department. Keith teaches percussion and jazz drumming. I've picked up so many amazing techniques from him, it's incredible. I've mostly been sitting in on one-on-one lessons, but I've sat in on rehearsal for the UT Jazz Band and some rehearsal that included string instruments as well. It's been great.

    This morning though he had to chew out some students for not practicing and being lazy, and he kicked one out 15 minutes before the session ended, he was so pissed off at the kid. I'm not sure I'm sympathetic though because the dude was being a douche, saying his other classes are more important and that he wasn't sure he even wanted to take the class, even though it's part of his major.

    Then, tonight, I went to a church with my drum instructor Marty, and watched him in rehearsals and learned how to read a little more drum music. When Marty went to college, he was taught by Keith Brown too, so he knows exactly how he teaches and stuff, it's cool. I'm really sad though because tomorrow's the last day and Friday I'll have to go back to school, and I really don't want too. It's been so much fucking fun, I've learned so much about drumming and musician-ship in general, I don't want to go back to normal school.

    Ermmmm, last Sunday I went downtown and saw this local band I love, Ergo We Play, play a gig on Market Square and they were really fucking good. I've had exams all week so my brain's kind of imploded and I can't think. Hooray :D

    My pet rat died from a stroke this morning. We buried him in the backyard. I miss him so much already. He was only a year old and a few months.
