GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!

I'm up early to get my train back to London this morn, as unbeknown to you (or my family) I came home for part of the weekend!
But as the man is now back from his holidays (and wants to see me) home has lost all entertainment factor (plus he's brought back wine and biscuits for me)!

While I've been here I:
Made Cupcakes
Hoovered
Made Cake
Played with the Dog :D
Did washing
Washed up
Made Pie for my family for Dinner
Got merry off rose wine with Mum

And now I've had enough of them all!!!

I haven't been neglecting DailyBooth purposefully, just life has become more fast paced as I am more mobile with my knee.

So I'll give you a quick life update:
- I'm now starting back at work.
- I have a man. We're just dating and taking things slow. He's pretty awesome! :3
- All my Uni friends are back and are spending all sociable hours doing work, grrrrr.
- Some of my housemates are... hard to get on with... give it a year.
- I have managed to consolidate with all 3 of my ex's :S
- I CAN DO STAIRS!!!!!
- I been playing lots of Ratchet & Clank on my PS2 :D

I got a bit creative with my curtains and the delay on my laptop camera in exposure to a sudden surge in light…

But this is the kiddy version (as DailyBooth doesn't allow nudity) and the version I like best http://dimegaphoned.tumblr.com/post/9875057235/i-got-a-bit-creative-with-my-curtains-and-the I think is way better.

Plus it feels really empowering for me to look at this…

Hey guys,
So I've had a really shitty past 3 days, the reason being, my knee. Hence my unresponsiveness

It’s a long story… which I’ll try and shorten as best as I can. First, I’ll start with saying I’m a dancer. Dance is my life. It’s all I’ve wanted to do.

4 years a go I dislocated my knee cap a couple of time, had physio, all was fine.
End of April I get an injury during dance class at uni. Side of knee pops out, or something to that effect happens. Discovered through xray a lot more damage was done to my knee cap then previously thought. A chunk is missing from the back of my knee cap (which dislodged 4 years ago) and caused problem in April.
Go see surgeon to have MRI and seek best possible cause of action. Says free moving bone needs removing and holes drilled through my knee cap.
Have surgery at the beginning of August (month a go). More damage done to back of knee cap then previously thought. During surgery back of knee cap needs shaving A LOT. Knee cleaned out, bone removed, knee cap drilled. Given physio exercises to do 3 times a day. Course of pain killers and antinflammatories. Told I can’t go back to work for 4 - 6 weeks, and no dancing for 3 months.
Swelling increases, ice and tablets not working… exercising 3 times a day. Doing what I’ve been told to do. Almost fall over from the huge amount of pressure being exerted on my knee by the swelling.
Post op assessment, huge swelling on my knee is a blood swelling from a blood clot. Get told I’m doing to much, even though I’ve been doing what I was told to do. The few days old blood is drained via needle, involving puncturing my knee.
Swelling comes back. I should be almost healed enough to go back to work. I need money to pay rent!!!
Go to the Walk-In GP on Friday to get opinion while visiting London. GP says my aftercare has been dealt with in a completely wrong way! Post physio, post MRI, and post xray appointments should have been booked, and that a proper bandaging should have been applied to the knee after the draining.
Go back to the hospital to see surgeon. Who then tells me I should have been doing nothing for 3 weeks, no exercises, nothing, and the swelling would have done gone by now naturally. Also get told I’ve put myself at risk at causing more post op problems like DVT (blood clot) and damage to the back of the knee which will give me arthritis. Leg now in full compression bandage. But it could all be a little too late.

I AM SO FUCKING FRUSTRATED WITH THE AFTERCARE OF THIS OPERATION!!! I’M BEING TOLD SO MANY MIXED THINGS BY SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH CLASHING OPINIONS, AND IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS I’VE GOT NO BETTER! I CAN’T WALK PROPERLY! I CAN’T MOVE PROPERLY! I CAN’T DO ANYTHING PROPERLY! ALL OF WHICH I WAS TOLD I BE ABLE TO START GETTING BACK TO NORMAL NOW!

YOU CAN’T BEGIN TO COMPREHEND HOW FRUSTRATING IT IS FOR ME NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE!

I now have to sit around for 10 days doing fuck all...

Continuing from my Booth yesterday, Welcome to more of my new Crib!

Yes that's right! What you see is true! I have an authentic 70s fireplace in my room. You heard right. FIREPLACE!
I have yet to figure if I will be actually able to use it properly because the chimney is open, and things fall down every now and again.Could come in handy for Winter.

And yes, there was something about the idea of sitting by a warm fire in winter that got me topless ;)
