Chris likes this photo for some very strange reason... so... I suppose it shall be my booth photo for today.
We walked to Franz Josef glacier again since Chris' camera has been working. Hopefully it stays that way! We were able to snap some pretty decent shots since the sun was out, too. It's also rather warm... quite the 180 from a wet and cold yesterday.
Also, we saw Kea (four of them) this morning! From the roof of our hostel nonetheless. It was rather awesome... my first wild parrot. n_n
Also, also... we need jobs! I can't believe I only have roughly 60 days left of my first (and definitely not last) adventure overseas. O_o

QUOTES FROM DAY 4 (Stewart Island Day 4):
"12 kilometers trekked today (41.5 traveled).
"WE SAW A WILD KIWI BIRD! ... I was rambling about something when Chris heard something rustling in the bush. Chris then told me to hush and we both froze. I kept giving a thumbs up/down, confused by Chris' expression. He then nodded, which had me elated. We waited a bit and watched as the ferns rustled closer and closer... then we saw a beak poking around at the ground. He then came pretty close to the path before turning around ... The kiwi then walked on the path and ran ahead of us, resembling a puppet. We didn't see too much of him after that. It was so exciting, though! My eyes nearly watered in anticipation while he was coming closer. n_n"February 25th, 2012

This photo was taken during one of our bus-stops in Wanaka on our way to Cromwell. Not quite sure what the hand represents as I forgot to
read the plaque...
We're in Cromwell right now after spending 8 or so hours on a bus from Christchurch (the bus from Kaikoura to Christchurch only took about
two hours). Twas pretty nostalgic going back to the city since that was where we first landed in New Zealand. It hardly felt like I ever worked at a vineyard or at a farmpark at all. Strange feeling indeed. The owner of the hostel (er... living-room) we stayed at for the night even remembered us (details of our lives, too)! It was a lot of fun chatting with him again since he's quite the chracter.
Anywho, my last morning at the farm park was rather sad. Being the people-person that I am, I found it hard to part with the animals since I
viewed some of them as friends of mine *Stef's attempt at making fun of her awful social skills*. Seriously, though, I would actually talk to them as I 'poop-scooped' their enclosures... a time where I was usually by myself with no one near to hear me. Le sigh. New adventures need to be had, though, so... yay waking up tomorrow morning at 4:15 am to get ready for cherry picking! *D:*January 6th, 2012

20111016: Ahhhh! Today was amazing. Here I am with a Dusky Leaf Monkey/Langur. And it so adorable. I had been wanting to see a dusky leaf monkey since around the time I first arrived in Bangkok. They're endangered and thus a protected species, they're also the main reason we came to Prachuap Khiri Khan. They're much tamer than the macaques (which we saw several hundred of today as well at a temple on a hill in the city) and their babies are a bright gold which the grow out of when they are younger (photo in the comments).
The dusky leaf monkeys were actually located in a military base, so it was a bit confusing getting to the monkeys, since there were some areas that foreigners were allowed and some areas the were allowed but only in a vehicle, and some areas they weren't allowed at all, so it took us about an extra 2 hours trying to figure out everything.
After the monkeys, we had "lunch" and then swam in a gorgeous beach called Ao Manao for about an hour. We then went back and saw the monkeys again, and some got on our heads for a bit, then got out of the military base. We then went to the temple on a hill where we saw literally at least 100 macaques (in reality probably much more), we had never seen so many and they were more aggressive than previous ones I've encountered. I literally felt unsafe being at the mountain, another tourist claimed one of the monkeys bit her. We left the temple, had dinner, and are now planning the remainder of our trip, which unfortunately will cut out the jungle we wanted to go to and include a short stop in Surat Thani for a half/full day then off to the Phuket airport, where we land at Christchurch, NZ, of which we have done very little preparation since we left Pak Kret and got tickets.October 24th, 2011

I've been so unmotivated for the past few days. Doesn't help when I found out that the Vet Tech program I planned on getting into is full until fall of 2012. In other words: I need to change my major. I love animals and I always will... but I lost all my passion to become a Vet Tech months and months ago anyway. And besides, I can always do volunteer work in my spare time to help animals that way...
Bah, I really am freaking out over this. I'm just trying to force myself in thinking that this is all a blessing in disguise. Yet, I can't control that little voice in the back of my mind saying, "YOU'LL BE IN SCHOOL FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EV--''.
Also, I still want to get a Bachelor's degree (in God knows what). Of course, most people my age are close to getting their degrees which makes me feel like I've accomplished nothing.
On the bright side, @dechtu 's hoodie still smells like him. :)March 26th, 2011

After a low-key day yesterday, @dechtu and I decided to head on over to The National Museum of Roller Skating... which wasn't terribly exciting. It was rather odd, actually, because it was located inside of an office-building *shrugs*. We did get to see some skates with Drew Barrymore's signature on them, though, from 'Whip It.'
After that, we walked on over to the Capitol Building where I snapped some pretty cool photos, especially at the top (14th floor). Twas cold and windy, but nice. I bought a couple of souvenirs to take back home, too. Cool beans.
Later, we drove on over to a nifty park called Pioneer's Park where we ate peanut-butter, fudge, and banana sandwiches. Don't ask XD. After feeding a bunch of aggressive geese some bread, we snapped more photos and treaded on over to where buffalo *bison* roam... lulz, I like saying that. It's so nature-y here, as opposed to where I live. I loveee the wide/open spaces. Anywho, I've never seen a bison before... so that was shnazzy. We also got really close to an elk who was rather fond of Chris :).
Bah, I almost forgot to mention this guy singing 'Nearer, My God, To Thee' VERY loudly to a bald eagle. Chris and I kept looking at each other, waiting for him to leave so we could check out Hailey, the eagle. We thought he was part Native American XD.
Once home, we basked on the driveway with his dogs and almost fell asleep. Soon after, an episode of 'Chuck' was watched.
Anddd, that's basically it. Long blurb was long.March 15th, 2011

@dechtu and I after dinner :3
So today was yet another awesome day. After having lunch with his parents, we walked on over to the cinema (long but pleasant walk) and saw 'Rango.' Twas cute... the chameleon reminded me of my pet lizard :P. I'd recommend it.
Afterwards, Chris treated me to dinner. Bread and dessert were great... yet the main course was meh. That's okay, though. At least I got to stare at Chris the whole time n___n
Anywho, we're off to take a walk with his dogs now.March 14th, 2011

@dechtu and I at the the Frank H. Woods Telephone Museum *featured in Yes Man, lulz*. You wouldn't think that a telephone museum would be that interesting, but it was. Fun times were had. Chris and I were even able to call one another on a couple old phones *not the ones shown above*.
We also went to the Nebraska History Museum which was great... 'cept for the part where I got in trouble (if you can call it that) for taking photos of some KKK robes, and a KKK flag. I AM SO REBELLIOUS.
Afterwards, we went to the local mall where we took some photos in a photo-booth. I also bought a Nebraska key-chain. OH OH OH, I forgot to mention my little Nebraska-shaped cookie-cutter I bought at a gift shop at the museum. Chris claims I am in love with it... and I kinda sorta am XD. IT'S JUST SO CUTE. I'm sure I'll booth with Nebraska-shaped cookies once I come back home.
Anywho, I'm off to upload a ton of photos onto Facebook...March 14th, 2011

Totally forgot that today is my 200th booth. >.< Well... here's to 200 more? *clanks imaginary glass with another imaginary glass*
So today, @dechtu and I relaxed and had some down time at his house. These passed few days have been rather hectic, so we decided to have a low-key day... which was nice :3.
After cuddling with his dogs and tossing around a Frisbee, we ended up playing chess outdoors (I had to carry the chess-board from his basement outside without any pieces falling off)... and I basically creamed him during our first game XD. Second game- I went down in flames. I am ashamed *shakes fist*. Also, we just finished watching 'Snakes on a Plane' which was amusing XD.
Anywho, we're off to walk the dogs now... ciao!March 14th, 2011

This is the most ridiculous photo I took of @dechtu and I today... but he insisted on me boothing with it :P. Look at how crazy we look! He's taking a photo of @hatchan on a ceramic tortoise and I'm just like... sleep deprived... or something. IT IS GLORIOUS.
So, my flight was 'not' cancelled, but there was a problem with the plane. Breaks were frozen? I dunno what the heck happened, but they fixed it an hour later.
Flying to Chicago was nice... weather did a complete 180 degrees. Blizzard to sunshine in an hour. Very awesome.
Making it to Lincoln was a piece of cake... of course, I was quite nervous/excited right before I took my first step off the plane. Then I saw Chris, who was taking photos of me. So weird seeing him in real-life :P. I'm finally starting to adjust to him, though. He is awesomely amazing. And amazingly awesome. :)
BAH, I have so much to say... Soon after I saw him, we took some photos inside of the airport (and next to a plane featured in Yes Man) and then strolled around his old campus. Twas fun. I took almost 250 photos :0
Okay, I'm done rambling... I'm off to do... something. Or nothing. After all, I'd rather do nothing with Chris than something with anyone else :)March 11th, 2011

*Creepy hand is creepy*
So, a few days ago I received this 5 yen coin in the mail courtesy of @dechtu . I wasn't expecting a letter from anyone (I never do... I'm a social recluse after all) so it was definitely a nice surprise when my brother threw a small green envelope at my face whilst saying, "You got a letter from your boyfriend." I now wear the coin around my neck. :3
What else, what else. Oh, I'm waking up early tomorrow to turn in an application to a family owned Italian restaurant. The owner said I could apply to be a hostess since they only hire family members to be waiters/waitresses and people with 5+ years of experience in the food industry. *crosses fingers*
OH OH OH, tomorrow's Monday which means $5 movie Monday at the indie theater. I think I should see Black Swan... that sounds like a plan... man... Stan... /ramble
