20100319: 桃 - 諸縁達成良縁吉祥 (momo - shouen-tassei ryouen-kichijou)
Pink (Peach) - Many Accomplishments; Luck in Love

Yesterday, when I was at Mt. Nokogiri, near the Giant Buddha (picture in the comments [One of yesterday's potential booths]), there was a small shop with temple related goods. You were supposed to drop 300円 in the box and draw out a Daruma and its color told your fortune. I of course got the pink one, but I can't say I mind the fortune.

For those who aren't aware what Daruma dolls are, they are bottom heavy (weebles wobble but they don't fall down) dolls in which you fill in one eye and make a wish and then with equal hard work, when it comes true, you thank the Daruma by filling in the other eye. I got a bigger Daruma the first time I was in Japan, but my wish hasn't came true yet.

Photo of Momo-Daruma's current resting place can be seen at @hatchan 's most recent photo.

    @flexii Actually, yeah, haha! I studied Japanese between 2006 and 2008. In 2008 for 3 months I studied at Senshu University in Tokyo. In the summer of 2009, I came back to visit some friends for a few weeks. Currently I am in Chiba teaching English for 5 months at a private Jr. High School. :]

    @DJimSD Well, I'd tell you, but it still COULD come true, so I don't wanna spoil any luck the remains in it, haha. Let's just put it this way... I'll definitely booth with myself filling in the other eye if/when it happens.

    @DJimSD Let's just say it falls in the realm of the second one, which makes it pretty much obvious what the wish was, that's as much as I'll say. This Daruma's wish lies within the realm of the third choice you gave me.

    @flexii 漢字が難しいだね!多分、私は600が読める、けど、200しか書ける。 なんで英語で上手だの?

    @LouiseYe No completely different, the ones you're thinking of are Russian, I believe. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a Daruma version of the Russian dolls.

    @bellberry I know, right? I looked them up online and it looks legit. I bet you could find them somewhere if you tried hard enough. Thanks! :D Have a safe flight to Japan!

    @Lemonlily74 I have the address, but I'm not sure what order it is supposed to go in. I'll ask about it and message you when we figure it out, haha. Thanks, I'll definitely send something in return!

    @courtneydw Yeah, luck in business and money! :D (I had a solar powered one, but it broke [probably because I fell out of my double decker bed and onto it, very long story]). Also, hence why I put the translation underneath. :]
