5.12.12. i had too much coffee last night and ended up passing out at 8am, then waking up at 4pm. oops. at least i'm still working on my film paper and stuff. i just want this monkey off my back.

hair up, work clothes on, trying to motivate myself. i am going to work on my film paper all night while i reset my sleeping schedule because i woke up at 6pm today. also i made cookies. bringing those to my grandpa tomorrow!

5.10.12. hello hello. i'm really enjoying my hair.
today i drove for the first time since january and it felt SO GOOD. i love the sense of freedom that comes from driving. unfortunately my destination was the doctor, where i got a shot. but i got a cool band aid so everything's alright. then i picked up some stuff at walmart and saw some familiar faces. i forgot how easy it is to see people you know around here. i also made a new post about the henna hair dying process on my ~serious blog~ tonight: http://forestette.blogspot.com/
hopefully i can keep up with this thing throughout the summer and strengthen my writing skillzz
and hey, maybe i'll start working on my film paper tonight.

5.9.12. hello again, my darling dark hair
today was cool. i washed the henna out and got my dark hair back. then went to misery with mike and sonic and best buy. walked around town and saw some familiar faces. it's seriously like i never left this place. i'm excited for summer hangz and shows coming up.

5.7.12. this is from last night but oh well.
around 3am we went to the diner, then wandered around and ended up in north hills. we laid in the street and made a wawa stop and saw the early morning train, then walked back along the road parallel to the tracks. went to bed at 7am then didn't wake up today until 5 30pm. all i've really done is packing and our room just keeps getting emptier. in 24 hours i will be at home, and done with my first year of college save for my last paper which is due next week via email.
these past 8-9 months have been incredible. i love philly and i love my friends and i love that i found what i truly enjoy doing. i've gained more practical knowledge and i have grown more as a person in one year of college than i did in four years of high school. i am so happy with my life and my choices.

5.6.12. man this weekend was great. went to first friday up in keswick after we got dinner from the café. there were irish step dancers and we just perused the stores for a while, taking advantage of the free food. also walked a while through the suburbs after- leann and i walked all the way to jenkintown! yesterday we went to doylestown which was wonderful. they're working on the tracks up north so we had to get off the train at ft washington and take a shuttle up the 309. it was an interesting experience. then once we were in town, we walked around and found some vintage stores, a bookstore where i got a copy of brave new world, and we got pizza for dinner. then we went to a small show at siren records which was really neat. got back here around 12 30am and leann and i went to her friends' place up in towers. i've got scratches from hopping a fence oops. and today we went to the mall. i got khaki shorts for work and chinese food.
this turned out to be a wonderful last weekend of my freshman year.

5.2.12. today was shitty. academically, i'm pretty alright, just stressed. woke up at 8 30 for my french final and did alright on that, then got some stuff together for my film paper. my lunch tasted like shit so i threw it away. i can't wait to be home and use the kitchen to eat real food again. found out about the shit going down with redwood which is a total bummer. took a nap for five hours, woke up feeling equally as shitty as before. well, maybe a little better. i ate dinner and went to the gym which made me feel even more better. also everyone keeps getting robbed and it's weird and sad.
thank goodness i can sleep in tomorrow.

4.29.12. what a nice weekend. yesterday i went into the city, got henna to dye my hair with, a special gift for my best friend, and went to see balance and composure/la dispute at union transfer last night. they always put on a great show. i'm pretty bummed that i won't be going to shows a lot this summer because of work, but making all that money will be worth it once i get back to school in the fall. i can't believe this is my last week at school. i have so many conflicting emotions about it, but no time to feel them because i need to do a bunch of studying and write papers.

4.27.12. hangin in the billiards room attempting to do my media work. i have an exciting weekend ahead of me. most of my finals are next week and i really need to get my shit together. so strange to think i'll be home in two weeks. i can hear myself whimpering now.
also i started a more serious blog than my tumblr so we'll see how this goes maybe. i'm going to try to fill it up with come cool shit.
