2.14.12. hiya happy valentine's day.
today the weather was beautiful and i wore a black dress, my mother sent us a bunch of cupcakes and icing and sprinkles and heart balloons and candy. my parents are so cute. my roommates and i gave each other valentines and stuff and there was chocolate fondue at the dining hall for dinner tonight. also i had work and we called people for the first time since last semester. it feels good to get back into a productive state again, earning money as well as good grades.
valentine's day makes me miss my dogs a little bit...actually a lot.
2.13.12. today was wonderful, despite getting up late and being a few minutes late to media. i got an A on my conglomerate paper, and a 100 on my french quiz. then after lunch, i went down to see if i had any packages, and i got two. the first, from alex, contained a woca 120g and some film among various other items :’) so sweet. i’ve never used 120 so i’m excited to try something new.
the second package was from lemuria, and i figured my mom ordered it for me. i opened it up to find a shirt, get better, a sticker, a button…the whole valentine’s day package. then i saw the card, opened it up, and it turns out the package was from austin :’) i was near tears. best friend i have ever had, i love him so much.
i’m so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. i’ve had this lonely feeling following me for the past few days and this shook it off. how did i get so lucky?
2.11.12. today i got up, showered, and didn't do a damn thing
but tonight we got dressed up, caught the room on fire, and watched 500 days of summer

2.10.12. butt pride
today was a much better day than anticipated. i'm running on 3 hours of sleep as i got up at 7 am to get breakfast at the café with leann, alexandra, and julia. then i got all my drexel materials in for my transfer app so we'll see how that goes, and i feel confident about my french quiz, and i had a lot of caffeine today. also tonight caitlin, leann, and i went to the mall and i got two h&m black dresses, a lomo oktomat, and a 3 pack of lomo film all for less than $40. today was definitely my day.
2.9.12. today i woke up late, so i didn't start my media paper early like i had planned to do. i went to class and screwed around on the internet. consequently, i am writing my paper now and i'll have to print it out in the morning before class. i need more coffee.
on the plus side, i just wrote the best paragraph of my academic career thus far:
A conglomerate is like a Hungry Hungry Hippo- it wants to eat all of the balls. Its goal is to own, or gobble up, as many things as possible before the other conglomerate hippos do. The money-colored hippo usually wins (Silverfishlongboarding.) This holds true in the corporate world. Whoever has the most money wins. The more money a conglomerate has, the more balls it is able to gobble up. And the more a conglomerate owns, the more people it reaches. This could cause a problem in the media system when the green hippo’s balls outnumber those of all the others. Imagine a world where the powerful green conglomerate hippo acquires so many balls that it becomes a super hippo! Suddenly the Hungry Hungry Hippo board of the media system shakes, then the powerful conglomerate green hippo rips himself up off the board- LOOK! HE HAS GROWN LEGS! The powerful green hippo lets out a great big ROAR as he surrounds the innocent people of society with his many balls. The people are defenseless- much like tofu, they become what is around them. They become a product of the green hippo. Without a large number of voices in the media system, conglomerate green hippos may become too powerful and have too much impact on society. Luckily, the media landscape is becoming increasingly diverse through the internet and the emergence of “citizen reporters.” They can be thought of as elusive mice, like those from Mouse Trap.
2.8.12. the past few days have been pretty productive. i'm assembling my drexel application, filled out my fafsa, doing various assignments for school, and, of course, eating healthier and going to the gym. today it snowed which is a total bummer, but at least it looks pretty for the time being. tonight i'm planning to take a shower and work on my paper for media about the news corp conglomerate.

but anyway, i'm devoting this weekend to personal development- which means work and sleep
i slept until 4pm today, and scanned things, and tonight i read for media until i had a headache, and i just wrote my drexel admissions essay. tomorrow i'm going to do reading for french and film, and maybe attempt the fafsa. getting my ass in gear a little feels good.
2.2.12. today was great. i got to sleep in, had some lunch, went to my only class, hung around, and went to the gym. also my silly little drawing broke 10k notes on tumblr and i'm thinking that maybe i should illustrate my tweets some more. huh.
2.1.12. hi happy february
today was pretty splendid. the weather was beautiful, i had my favorite classes, and i looked like a picnic. also i ate healthy, had a really good workout tonight, and i posted one of my shitty little drawings on tumblr which is getting a lot of notes right now.

1.31.12. hey today was pretty good, and the weather was fantastic. 60 and sunny.
i slept in, had lunch, went to my i/o class, and when i came back julia and i walked all the way to new life thrift and i got gap jeans, a chaps shirt, and an ann taylor tee all for ten bucks. then we went to the grocer and baskin robbins on the way home. walked about five miles today.
