I feel like we accomplished something here.
The spam on the livefeed is no more
(with the exception of Jennifer, who had to create a new profile)
For you live-feeders.
ME, @bsmarlon, and @JoshMichael went out of our ways to get dailybooth spam free, we messaged the owners of the site, sent in emails and such, we were finally noticed.. Now it isnt perfect yet, but the spam in the livefeed has been very minimal. Although I havent seen any yet tonight, WHICH IS AWESOME

So I'm watchin this youtube video http://youtu.be/tDENmSJIlMI and this ad appears to the right, so I think to myself, this must be some bad shit if it takes thousands of intersessionary prayers to atone for. but I watched it anyway. I could see @crimsong19 improving on it though! and why they never casted @GratefulDogZX is beyond me. Thats Hollywood for ya.

Hello, all of Sarah's followers! It is I, Jason (@crimsong19) stepping in to cover for her ... probably a bit late ... time differences ... but it's still Sunday for me!
I'm currently working on (among other things) a re-read of the Harry Potter series with @penguinhatgirl and we're in the middle-ish of "Chamber of Secrets" ... which hopefully can be knocked off by bedtime ... which will be late.
Favorite Potter novel? What about the movies? Personally, the books were what seems like a while ago for me ... but I particularly enjoyed the first movie 'cause it was the closest to the novel and the first part of the seventh because it really captured the feel of the first half-ish of the novel.
Sarah will be back soon, but until then ... allons-y, Alonso!July 3rd, 2011

Here's a photo from when I first found my billboard. It was pretty intense. Thanks King of the Web for allowing me to see my face every time I got up to go to classes. :P

It's been determined that I can't pose nicely for pictures ever so this is what we got instead.
We had a very nice day today, we went to Jason's great-aunt and uncle's place and had a swim and ate some nice noms and stuff. Good times :)
And I forgot to booth yesterday but we went into downtown NYC and met up with @jimbonius which was very nice, and went to see Rain which was also quite good.
And now we're gonna go watch Ghostbusters. Byeeeee!June 17th, 2011

Okay. Yes. Hi! I have Jason. Ooootherwise, today was looooong. I got on the train at 8:47 this morning, and then we crossed the border at 11 and then they had to check our passports and stuff you know, to make sure we aren't terrorists, and then we finally left the border at 12:30 but then there were delays, of some kind, not that they told us there delays (terrible customer service) so I ended up not getting to Jason until 10:45 which means I was on the train for 14 HOURS. IN A ROW. AAH.
Um...that was my day. I met a nice Australian man who was much more travelled than I (he was on his fifth straight week away and had gone around half of the US, plus Alaska (I know that's part of the States, shh), plus Toronto and Lake Louise.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh bye <3June 14th, 2011

I've been on Dailybooth for a long, long time now. Longer than I care to think about, sometimes. And I know that I'm guiltier than some about going on about the "good old days" and how it used to be. When I first joined, the site was so small that everyone really knew everyone else. Honestly. There was no spam, and if people were willing to join in, they were made to feel welcome.
Obviously most of that has changed now, and since this blurb looks like it'll be quite long, I'll probably have lost a fair few of you now who have just scrolled past me. But why have you? You clicked follow, so surely you want to read what I have to say?
I'm as guilty as many for not commenting on every picture. If I have nothing to add to a conversation, I won't do it. But I do try my best to comment on all of my followers at least some of the time. No one is saying you have to comment on everything. But the thing I can't understand is why you'd click follow and then never interact with me.
If you're doing it because you think I'll just follow you back, a quick look at my follower-to-following ratio will tell you I don't do that. I'm grateful that so many people apparently think I'm interesting to follow, but why don't you talk to me?
People like @brandino116, @caitysays, @peppercorncrisp, @Sombrero27, @kissfan19335, @doesgodlikechips, @Kzirk ... and many others. All of you have followed me recently, but to my memory, none of you have commented or interacted with me once. I appreciate the follow, but I'm curious as to what is holding you back from talking to me? I ask questions most days, there's always something to respond to, so why are you part of the silent majority of my followers that does nothing but lurk in the shadows? (I'm not laying scorn or blame on any of you personally, I'm just using your names as examples. There are hundreds more.)
The community feel goes when no one joins in the community. I like having regular commenters and friends like @Sparrow, @tismrwells, @crimsong19 and @MartyToes to name a few, but I'd like to meet more people to. It's hard to find people these days as the news feed is like watching a list of reasons to leave.
I'm sorry to offload all of this, but I've been wanting to say it for a long time, and I've no doubt that of the +1,000 followers I have, not even 1% of you will read this. Even fewer will comment. The extra irony is that the commenters will be the regular few, and no one else. So this is all pointless anyway.
Thank you for reading this far down if you have, whether you take my words to heart or not. Probably not. I just miss the community feel the site had and I wish we'd all communicate more instead of playing a pointless numbers game to see how many followers we can get. I don't care about followers, I care about interactivity. Please, let's get chatting.
How do you feel about this situation?
Why do you follow me, and if you don't comment, why don't you?May 29th, 2011
