And ... I've finished "Under the Dome"!
And ... I got a haircut, too!
So ... I've got lots of stuff to tell you guys, so I'll do it in as little space as possible.
1) I have a new short upon my channel with a ton of Edgar Wright-style edits, which I quite enjoyed doing. I'd love some views and ratings and comments and whatnot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iigpDFwE6I
2) @myownprivatevertigo has started vlogging! She's off to an okay start, but I have a feeling that she can go places. Show her some love! http://youtube.com/msfilmfiend
3) I went with my mom to get some slippers last night and we picked up a few other things for me, too. I'll show you in the comments.
4) After finishing "Under the Dome", ... I honestly would LOVE to be a part of the production of the Steven Spielberg executive produced miniseries that will be made of this thing in the near future. I'm serious. Spielberg is going to be making a miniseries of this. And he has King's permission already.
5) Since this is the last day I'll be boothing at home on winter break, do you guys want a tour of the place? I'll grab some lunch, show you my purchases, then we'll take this thing mobile, okay?
6) ALSO! My mom got me a Flickr Pro account a few days ago. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
(EDIT) 7) And I'm going to be 20 on Sunday. ... O_O 20?!?!
BTW, don't forget to check my Flickr and blog daily for photo updates!

Also! Can you guys send some questions my way? http://formspring.me/crimsong19

Y'know, I don't think I've enjoyed one of King's fiction books in over a decade (or whenever "The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon" was released), but he's still one of my favorite writers. "On Writing" might be my favorite book of all time, and his "Pop of King" articles are incisive and utterly fun to read. And besides, the man wrote "It" and "Cujo" and "The Langoliers" and "Rita Hayworth & The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Shining" and The Dark Tower series, so he always gets a pass...even if he did write what is essentially a remake of "The Simpsons Movie" for this last one.

So I'm on my lunch break, which gives me an excellent excuse to pop over and check out your YouTube amusements. Anything which describes itself as "Edgar Wright-style" gets my attention.

@tisrandom Quite a big book, Damien! 1071 pages! Woo!
@herecomesthesun It is massive and it's long, but there's a ton of character drama and whatnot that I felt very invested in. :D
@elladoor Thanks, Ella! And no, there are bigger books.
@jimmyrabbitte So true. I might have to check out more of Stevie's EW articles. And this was NOTHING at all like "The Simpsons Movie". Oh, goodie!
@myownprivatevertigo Stef, I honestly believe that you can improve. And if you have the support of friends, whether they're IRL or URL, it makes it all the more worth it. And I'd highly suggest reading the source material of anything before watching its adaptation.

@crimsong19 I'm sure I'll improve a teensy-weensy bit... but I just hated my first vlog.

Oh, I know. That's what I was trying to say. The miniseries sounds really good, which makes me want to read the book first.

If anyone could do King right it would be Spielberg. My favorite mini-series of his was called "Taken" with Dakota Fanning.. he did such a great job on that.

King novels rarely translate well into movies or mini-series because so much of his books you are inside character's heads..

My fav King novel of all time.. "The Stand".

Yep Complete and uncut.. I was alive during the time where you could only read the original (cut) version.. so it was so cool to have loved that book once, then gotten to re-read it again with all the missing parts and enjoy it all over again in a different way.

Here is the link to the miniseries I loved.. it might surprise you how good it is if you haven't seen it.

As for Spaced Skype-ness, definitely, but not tonight as I'm meant to be writing an essay :-s I'll add you next time I'm on though (probably sometime tomorrow) - is your username the same as on here?
