    Just to clarify, I have to lead pretty much all the violins... and I can't even keep track of where we're at in the piece.

    Working in my callouses after a nice long break over the summer. Good news is after 3 days practice I'm not rusty anymore.

    It is so hot today I think I might melt. They reckon Brisbane's max is only about 31C, but the humidity is nigh unbearable. Don't get me wrong, i'm all #teamsummer, but this is the first summer in a while where I have not had access to a beach or a pool, or the like.

    In other news, the northern half of my state is about to take a massive hit from Cyclone Yasi, who I heard earlier today, is tipped to be bigger than Cyclone Tracey (which devastated Darwin on Christmas Eve '74), Cyclone Larry (which kicked Innisfail, QLD in the guts in 2006) and Hurricane Katrina (which you guys are probably more familiar with than I am). Yasi is a Category 5, and her winds are already faster than Katrina's.

    Pray for the people who are about to have their lives turned upside down.

    Like, seriously. QLD just can't win this year.
