    Cultural (?) artifacts from another age...these are all books/magazines from the nascent nerd chic culture of the early 90s. Clockwise from top left:
    "Mondo 2000 User's Guide to the New Digital Edge" -- a book that tried to pin down internet culture two years before the first Mosaic browser was released!
    Wired 2.1 --First anniversary w/ Douglas Coupland's Microserfs short story
    Wired 1.1 -- Every magazine starts somewhere
    "Wired Style: Principals of English Usage in the Digital Age" Style guide, with some radical ideas about compound words and hyphenation.
    Wired 4.12 -- An amazing article by Neal Stephenson about trans-oceanic cables and the physical structure of the internet.

    The overarching themes: Everything was all very exciting and everyone was either going to reach nirvana or make a fortune or both. The more things change...
