Celebrate the little things in life... but don't let the little things get to you.

**Thanks to everyone who commented on my last booth and gave support. I'm not 100% better, but I'm much better than yesterday.**

I thought that everything I was doing was working. I thought I had it under control.

I was wrong.

Now, I feel that I pushed a friend away.

I'm supposed to go out with another friend tonight. I don't know if I can now. I feel like I'm poison to any friend that dares get close. And I don't want to hurt anyone.

I'm going to give a week's summary here...

This has been a week of repairs for me! Let's give the list of the critical bills...

- Dishwasher repair: $250
- Emergency vet visit: $135
- New tires: $360
-- Repairing myself. My mind. Going to a psychologist. Doing what I need to do to try something to end these depressive episodes...

... No price tag or bill can ever show it.

Take care of yourself, the rest will follow.

Today, I had to go on an emergency run to the avian vet for one of our cockatiels, Buddy. He has an infection in both eyes, and his right eye has an ulcer underneath the eyelid. He's now going to be on antibiotcs for a couple of weeks to see if it can be cleared up. He's a tough little birdie that's survived a few problems in his life with no troubles, so I have faith in the little guy.

While coming home from work, my rear driver side tire popped! Funny how I was able to drive on it with minimal problems until I got to a grocery store. (needed some things anyways!) If it had been the front, I'd have been having major problems. Also lucky the rim isn't damaged! I took the tire off, put on the spare and made my merry way home. Not looking forward to buying new tires tomorrow, though!

Hey ladies and gentlemen! I got a surprise in the mail last night... from Edinburgh!

That's right! @edinguy, as part of the Dailybooth postcard exchange, sent me a postcard depicting a beautiful view of Princes Street. It got a bit crimped in the mail, but it still looks nice.

That's not all, though... he also sent me a cool set of Star Trek insignia cuff links! I was going to put on a dress shirt and try them on, but I have some shtuff going on here, ATM. My wife thought they were earrings at first, LOL!! But that's understandable.

Brian, thank you for making me smile last evening when I sorely needed it! =D

I'm resting now after a loooong and craaaazy day at work. Even though it may not seem like I'm smiling in this pic, I was actually! You may also notice the postcard I got from @Tatze, that came to me all the way from Lübeck, Germany! It's a very pretty card; I love the old architecture like the buildings I saw there on vacation back in 2008. We do plan to go back so, Julia, I'll definitely let you know where we'll be, ok? Well, I guess Sunday's are my time to be, meh, lazy. So, I'll try not to be too lazy here.

Last night, I went with my wife to her parent's house. Had a great time talking with them, having pizza and ice cream sandwiches and watching the Marx Bros (right up there with The Stooges, IMHO). Here I am! Home from work and shopping errands and sosososoSO tired! However, I'm looking at these postcards I got late yesterday (the DBPostcardExchange!) and they made me smile through the tiredness!

The one on the left of the picture is from @KayTayy95, all the way from New York! The front reads, "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." (quote from Carl Sagan, who's actually one of my heroes!) It's actually a card and she wrote me some awesome words inside it and some funny things on the back. Reading what she wrote made me feel great! Thank you, Katie! =D <3

The other card is from @npja, coming straight from Boise, Idaho! I love the night pictures of some of the city life on it. Especially the Ale House in one pic! On the back, he said he may come to Phoenix for a bit this year! Well, Jeff, when that time comes, if time permits, maybe we'll meet IRL! Thank you for the postcard, and I'm mailing one to you tomorrow. =D
