well i can tell you now this booth is going to be a monster.. not literally.
ALRIGHT WELL.
I went to Hong Kong last week as most of you know. I had my haircut before we went.. its pretty short and i cant say i like it very much. Ah well, it'll grow back.
So yes, Hong Kong.
Woke up proper early at like 5am, drove to Heathrow, was on the aeroplane 11 hours, watched scott pilgrim vs the world (was good), ate (the food was surprisingly alright) and experienced turbulence... now usually its fine if youre just sat in your seat trying not to think about it.. but no. Its just typical that it occured while i was in the tiny toilet putting some moisturiser on my face meaning i highly ungracefully flew into piss. :l Moving on! The airport in HK is really nice, modern, huge and clean. We waited for a bus and got driven to the hotel. Again the hotel was rather swish, modern and cool. Me and my sister got a room to ourselves while mum and dad shared the room next door.
On the first day, we went on a cable car up some hills into the clouds to this giant buddha statue. The view was amazing from the top, was rather chilly though seens as we were high up. Then we went to HK park. Its situated in the city in the business area and its probably the prettiest place ive ever seen. There was a big pond with huge fish and real turtles on the rocks, flowers, fountains, a place for people to do tai chi and an aviary full of tropical birds. We went in and saw a sign which said "blah blah blah...Do not attempt to catch the snake by yourself" made me lol. I took a picture of it. 8)
Then for the next few days we went on this open top bus tour around different parts of hong kong each day, saw the laser show where 44 buildings light up in time to some music, was awesome. Saw some really expensive shops like Chanel, Harvey Nichols and Gucci. Didn't buy anything like ;D I did buy a t shirt from H&M and a toy panda keyring though. If you squeeze its tummy the cheeks glow red and it says i love you aha, its cute. :3 I invaded peoples personal space by filming them on the crowded tube, in the hotel lift and walking on the street. ;D
We went on a tram to the top of another hill to look at all the buildings and on the penultimate day we found an actual beach, away from the city and it was reaaaaally hot. It was like we'd teleported to ibiza or something, totally different feel. Then later on we went on this boat tour called the "sampan tour" basically it was this crazy chinese guy who'd invited us and a family from holland onto his nicely decorated boat, showed us the "jumbo floating restaurant" where the likes of tom cruise has eaten and the fishermen working away. He wouldnt shut up though, constantly babbling on in terrible english.. we just smiled and nodded loool. Then he all of a sudden got up from driving/steering the thing and said "PHOTO!" :S so the holland family got up and he arranged them nicely, borrowed their camera and said "CHEESEEEEE" then he was like "AYYYYYY :D" ..meaning its was a good photo i think. Then did the same with our family. I was scared to death that it was gonna capsize cos srsly it wasnt far off doing. Nuts. On the last night we went back to hong kong park to a restaurant and had a meal. I tried noodles and theyre not bad, then i tried some " mango pancakes" mums pudding that she'd ordered, and again they were alright. But because it was only a bite, i was still abit peckish and afterwards had a muffin from mcdonalds. ;D On the way back i slept for like 7 hours. Watched "never let me go" and "morning glory" both weren't tooooo bad. The food was disgusting though. bleugh. Then slept in the car on the way back up home, got back at 9am, slept from 3pm until midnight and then from midnight until 8am. ;D Now my bodyclocks fucked up and im going tired at 10pm every night, not gooooood!
I do have loads of pics (cough 800) from the holiday and about 200 are on facebook. So if youre @BonMauvaiseBelle, @Christoph1234 or @BubblePuff you can go have a look.
I'm gonna try and make a video and put it on youtube soon so you guys can look at that alternatively. :)
I'M GOING TO A HOUSE PARTY ON FRIDAY, 27 PEOPLE ARE GOING AND SLEEPING OVER. As you may be able to sense, im rather looking forward to it. loooooooool.
