Well, this worked out really well, because my 100th picture is also my favorite and last picture from the Florida keys. The sunset over the ocean waves.. I was so happy when I was able to take this picture.. ={D
Nights in the Keys were SO beautiful. Things like this made me want to live there year round (even without air conditioning, lol). Where is the most beautiful place you have been?
This was definitely the highlight of my Florida trip. I got to get really close to a baby Key Deer, and it was the sweetest thing ever. That was one of the things I loved about being there. There was so much wildlife at every turn, and it was so cool to just have little crabs and such walk up to you (even if they were trying to pinch you =P) I am so disappointed that I missed so many shots, simply because I couldn't pull out my camera in time.
Water spouts look like tornadoes. They don't look like those super cool pictures you see on the internet. I am disappointed. Anyways, yeah, this was during one of the craziest days I had in Florida. It was dark and grey all day, and right when everybody thought this huge storm was gonna hit, the sun came out. Wow. I thought I would have left behind the bipolar weather in Texas.
Well, the funny thing about this picture is that I didn't even know that it did this effect until I imported it onto my computer. I was pleasantly surprised, because it is hard to get the kind of shot with out crystal clear water or artificial lighting of some kind. Of course, it could be better, but then again, everything could be.. =P
Now, this guy was the creepiest crab I have ever seen. He was probably about five inches wide and two inches tall, and he was a fast little sucker. He kinda reminded me of the Boss in Monsters Inc... Oh, not to mention that he tried to claw at my camera... O.o
There were SOOOO many Iguanas running around the camp. At one point, I found about seven in one little area. Most of the time, you wouldn't even see them until they were running away from you. On one instance, I was walking through the grass to my cabin, and an iguana starts running from about a foot away from me.. That freaked me out pretty good, lol. They got pretty big too, I think one I saw was about 3 feet long (including tail). What is the biggest wild animal you have gotten close to?
So, apparently, it doesn't matter what size the crab is, it still hurts like hell when they pinch you. Right after I took this picture, this little fiddler crab scuttled up to me and pinched my ankle. Who knew that a crab smaller than a dollar coin could inflict so much pain. xD
So, I come back from a long day of snorkeling with fish, tye-dying shirts and what-not, and I see this Key-deer (which are like miniature deer that only live in the Florida Keys) just sitting with its legs under it, and I realize it looks like a duck sitting on water. What do you think?
Hiya! I am Hannah, and I love to take pictures of nature. You will probably never see any people (including me) in my pictures, but you will see tons of other things, so deal with it! =P
